A snowman a day. . .

Yep, its official – its snowman time!  Unfortunately for Tony though!  I will admit though that I have only brought out about 2 dozen this year!   I don’t like all snowmen though – I am kind of picky!  So from now until Christmas I will be showing pictures of some of my favorites.  I don’t know what it is about them, but they make me...

Honeycrisp Apples!

Oh my!  I’ve read other blogs about these apples, in fact, they are my brothers favorite!  But I’ve always heard that they were expensive so I never bothered. Well I stopped by a different grocery store yesterday and they had them on sale for .99 a pound!   They are the perfect balance of sweet and tart – this may be a new staple in my...

Weekends go by so fast!

For breakfast I made sliced apples on peasant bread with extra sharp cheddar cheese.  So yum!  I just love this combo of sweet and sharp.  Then it was time to put up the tree!  It’s a prelit tree, which is so nice, except it maybe took me about 15 minutes to hook all the pieces together!  But I love how quickly it goes up –...

love sleeping in!

That’s probably one of the things I love most about the weekend.  No hurry to get up, nowhere to be.  I know some people wake up at the same time every day no matter what.  Me, I could sleep until noon if given the chance! And we were out late last night, we got home about 12:30.  Having Hannah as our designated driver was a great...

Busy day today!

Tony and I slept in until 9:00 this morning and nothing gets me out of bed quicker than suggesting we go out for breakfast!  I quickly got dressed and ran outside to brush off the snow on the truck.  We probably got about two more inches over night? Hannah had my camera, so no breakfast pics.  I did pretty good.  I ate two eggbeater eggs,...

Movie Night. . .

What a busy day at work today!  But the good news is that because I got in early I got to leave early!  I picked up Hannah basically as soon as she got home and we ran some errands.  We are “accessorizing” our kids outfits for our  Christmas picture this weekend.  I know, they are 16 and 19, I should just stop putting their picture...

I can’t be the only one. . .

This is what my desk typically looks like on Friday mornings:  I only have a couple minutes break, so this will be quick.  I made a mini egg bagel at home and brought it to work.  They are the Trader Joe brand mini whole grain bagels – they are really good!  With 1/4 cup egg whites and 1/2 ounce of fontina cheese. I have to say...

Tony’s stirfry and BSI recipe!

I had to work an hour late today.  I texted Tony to tell him I was on my way home, and he said “what do you want for dinner?”  I told him I had stirfry on the menu, and I walked in the door to this deliciousness! So Andrea is the hostess of this weeks Blogger Secret Ingredient Recipe Contest – the ingredient this week...

Unwich salad = yum!

We have a sandwich shop called Jimmy John’s and they offer an “unwich” which is any sandwich wrapped in lettuce.  It’s VERY messy to eat, so I ended up bringing it back to the office and chopping it up and added a tablespoon of Annie’s goddess dressing.  I may have to work late tonight so I ran a couple errands (needed envelopes and stamps –...

Brrr….

Okay, so we lucked out on the snow – maybe we got 1/2 an inch!  But it was 8 degrees this morning when I took Hannah to school!  No walk for Ed this morning, I just let him out in the backyard! I used up some of Tony’s steak and made another omelet for breakfast.  Yesterday’s breakfast held me a LONG time!  Probably the high...
