Soup and Salad

Good workout at lunch – I was the only one in there so had control over the t.v.!  Both Rachael Ray (caught the end of her show) and Cooking for Real made killer macaroni and cheese dishes!  But Rachael made a REUBEN MAC N CHEESE!  I saw this episode before, but forgot about it.  I’ll have to try to make a healthier version of that...

Hump Day

No morning walk pics because it was kind of drizzly and overcast, which is supposed to be the theme for the day.  Even Ed didn’t want to walk long, we were only gone 15 minutes! Breakfast: 1 low carb wrap 1/2 cup egg whites, scrambled 1 ounce swiss cheese .8 ounce deli ham 1.5 ounce banana sprinkled with .5 ounce Nature’s Path Flax cereal 338...

Southwest Stirfry??

Okay, quick post, my lunch break is almost over! I did the Jillian workout today in record time – 35 minutes!  I only stopped once in between the circuits.  I considered it my last chance workout since Biggest Loser is on tonight!  Then I did 5 solid minutes of stretching – it feels great! I brought a southwest seasoned chicken breast that was stuffed with...

Productive morning. . .

It’s so hard to get up when its still dark outside, but by the time I took Ed on his 1/2 hour walk this morning, the blanket of clouds lifted and its a beautiful sunny day!  And it felt like fall again this morning – about 50 degrees.  When I got back from our walk, I made dinner in the crock pot – pot roast/potatoes/carrots. ...

Easter in October!

They had ham on sale, so I decided to go for it.  Again, I attempted scalloped potatoes, the bane of my existence!  Since Hannah was home I had her put the ham in at 1:00 and then put the scalloped potatoes in at 3:30.   Why I keep trying to make scalloped potatoes, I’ll never know! Well, just before 5:00, Hannah calls me and says that...

Stir fry and sprints

I have exactly 7 minutes left on my lunch break!  Type fast, type fast! Lunch 3 ounces raw shrimp 1 cup broccoli slaw 1 cup broccoli/cabbage/carrot mix 1 cup bean sprouts 1/2 package ramen noodles (just noodles, not packet) I had it with Pomegranate green tea – yum! Today’s workout I did sprints on the treadmill (while watching Rachael Ray make blue cheese stuffed meatballs!):...

Lunch and dinner and in between

Hannah and I went out and about so ended up having a late lunch – more homemade pizza!  See I told you I like eating the same things over and over! I decided not to make zucchini bread today, with temps in the 80’s, I didn’t want to have the oven on in the afternoon.  But, I decided to make a new soup!  My inspiration...

It’s raining leaves

On my short walk with Ed this morning, at one point, this one tree was dropping all its leaves at once!  I tried to capture it, but this is as close as I got: I saw about three boats go by – with temps around 80 today, I imagine the river will get pretty busy today. Hannah ran to the store this morning for eggs...
