Porkchops

I like pork chops, but I tend to like them boneless, while Tony likes them on the bone.  I was lucky because these were on sale! Dinner: 4 ounces pork chop 3 ounces potatoes 3 ounces green beans 1 tablespoon blue cheese dressing mixed with 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar This morning before I left work, I baked a potato in the microwave and left it...

Eclectic Lunch

I didn’t plan my lunch very well today!  I knew I had tomato soup in the fridge and carrots and cucumber, but when I put that in calorieking, it was only like 200 calories – not enough!  So I had my leftover bean burrito in the fridge, and cut off about a 2 ounce slice and warmed that up.  I also added ranch dressing for...

Wide open spaces

Ed and I turned left this morning on our walk and that brought us to a really wide open prairie.  The only thing we saw were two deer jumping in the tall grass about 100 feet away.  Ed didn’t even see them! I did have a bit of a scare, because as soon as we got out of the car, I didn’t have a good hold...

I thought it was red lentil chili. . .

when I put it in my lunch box, but after I reheated it, it was another taco soup!  I thought I was done with those already!  I told you it made a lot! So with today’s taco soup I have a spinach salad with cucumbers, baby carrots and my favorite Annie’s goddess dressing.  Good workout at lunch.  I did 30 minutes run/walk adjusting the speed...

Coldest yet!

By the time I got to the trail this morning with Ed, it was 28 degrees!  Winter coat? Check.  Hat? Check.  Gloves? Check! It was beautiful though – we went on a new path and he could not have been happier.  We walked for 40 minutes! I was hungry by the time we got back.  I made my mock McDonald’s sausage McMuffin – with Tabasco!...

Snow?

There were actual snow flurries on my drive home from work tonight – what’s up with that?!  Although, its typical to be cold for Halloween!  It was 38 degrees when I got in the car, and its supposed to get down to the upper 20’s tonight.  Okay, I know I like fall and cold weather, but this is a bit too much too soon! It...

Stirfry Soup?

So I brought stuff to work to make stir fry, forgetting that I used up the last of my stir fry sauce last week.  Nertz! So I looked in the refrigerator, and there was some soy sauce – yes!  And then I had chunky peanut butter in my cabinet next to the stove.  I melted 1 tablespoon of peanut butter and stirred in about 1...

I came in second place!

In the Blogger Secret Ingredient – cranberries!  Check it out at www.fitnessista.com.  I made Christmas Morning Biscotti with dried cranberries and green pistachios.  Yum!  I promised Tony I would make some over the weekend, but never got around to it.  I’ll make some tonight! Monday is a late start for Hannah’s school, so I took advantage and slept in.   I’ll have to take Ed on...
