Splenda Swapstakes!
I am so excited to share with you #SplendaSwaps!
It’s nearly 2022 and every year I shout to the rooftops “New Year, New You!” And that quickly lasts for about two weeks.
Personally, I have an all or nothing mentality. If one of the laundry lists of items I declare I am going to get done that day don’t all get done? Well – it’s like a house of cards and it quickly collapses. Not this year though! With the help of the 21-day Swapstakes challenge, Splenda is helping me realize that it is easy to embrace these small changes as they can make a big difference.
I am teaming up with Splenda® for their Splenda® Swapstakes. The premise of their Swapstakes is to swap out sugar for Splenda®. I met with a nutritionist a couple months ago, and her goal for me was to keep my grams of sugar under 20 grams a day.
Huh. I only paid attention to the total carbohydrates to figure out how much insulin to give myself. Turns out, grams of sugar are just as important.
By making small daily changes during the 21-day challenge to reduce your sugar intake, these small steps can have a big impact to help you to feel your best. It’s said that it takes 21 days to do something to become a habit, and I am looking forward to this challenge!
The first step is to enter – and when you do, you’ll get a chance to win one of three $2,100 Grand Prizes or the amazing weekly prizes (such as a KitchenAid Stand Mixer or Apple Watch!)
Each week you’ll receive an email with 3 recommendations for how to replace sugar with specific Splenda® products. You’ll also receive a link to enter that week’s challenge to share a photo or short video telling them how you’re making #SplendaSwaps.
What are some ways to reduce sugar intake in your diet?

I’ve been using Splenda® for years. I love that it measures cup for cup for granulated sugar and not only reduces the calories and grams of sugar I am consuming, but the Weight Watcher personal points are significantly lower as well.
2022 is the perfect time to embrace healthier habits, and for me that’s reducing my sugar intake, which if you are not diabetic, can lower your risk of getting diabetes.
Here are a few of my recipes using Splenda®:
Cheers to 2022 and making healthier habits! I hope you join me – it will be fun! Let’s get Bizzy in our Kitchens!

What a great contest! These all sound great, but I can not wait to try making the cream cheese danish! I have never used Splenda in baking! What a great way to cut calories! Thanks for this and all you do! Cheers!
Splenda is 1 for 1 with granulated sugar – one cup of sugar on WW is 59 points! A cup of Splenda is zero 👌🏻
Thanks for sharing this! I’ll def check out your recipes, especially anything with fruit!

I think you’ll love the recipes coming soon!
Hey Biz! Thanks for always being a bright spot in the world and bringing great recipe ideas. Splenda has always been my go-to sweetener in my iced tea, but I get an aftertaste (to any sugar substitutes) in larger quantities. Any tips on how to counteract the aftertaste? My husband doesn’t experience this and I’m always happy to make his favorite sugar free cheesecake, but I’d love to enjoy more of it myself. Happy New Year!!!
Hey Leslie – I am in the same camp as your husband, I don’t taste an aftertaste when I use it in baking. When you add sweet things like bananas, etc. to muffins and use Splenda it tastes like sugar to me. 😁
Looking forward to trying some of these swaps. I make my husband a pitcher of iced tea with Splenda a few times a week.
I love that idea! The first time I had sweet tea in the south my Aunt added ONE CUP of sugar to each pitcher. 😂
I love Splenda and love when you show yummy baking recipes using it!
Splenda has been my go to for years – it’s second nature for me to use it. 😁
I love to have Splenda as an option for sugar, replacement. I’ll be checking your recipes Biz.
Thanks Kimberly!
