This buffalo fried cauliflower will be a hit with everyone!

We’ve had a house guest the last couple days – a puppy GoldenDoodle – and it is hyper and barks and just a lot.  This video below is the only time the dog hasn’t barked.  I think he was going through separation anxiety and by last night had calmed down a bit – but Rummy and Roman are ready to see him to the door!

I went to the farmers market yesterday – to pick up more delicata squash (duh!) and I saw they had purple and yellow cauliflower for $2 a head so I picked up a purple one.  Be sure to wash your produce from the farmers market – I found a couple lady bugs in mine 😀

I decided to make buffalo fried cauliflower and wouldn’t you know it – it looks like fried chicken!  This is vegetarian because I used an egg in the wet dipping station, but you could probably just leave that out to make it vegan.

I used Dak’s butt kickin buffalo seasoning which is so good – all of their seasonings are salt free so you can control the salt which I love.   If you use my discount code Bizzy10 you can get 10% off your order.

I just salted these when they came out of the fryer – so good!  This recipe serves 1 – and I ate every bite!

Buffalo Fried Cauliflower

Yield: 2
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes 3 seconds
Total Time: 10 minutes 3 seconds

This buffalo fried cauliflower looks like fried chicken and is just as crunchy!

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups purple cauliflower

  • 1/3 cup self-rising flour

  • 2 teaspoon @daksspices kickin buffalo spice, divided

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat fryer to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix the almond milk with the egg and 1 teaspoon of the @daksspices
  3. Whisk the flour, salt, pepper and second teaspoon of @daksspices
  4. Dip the cauliflower in the egg mixture, then the flour mixture and deep fry for 3 minutes.

I have an electric fryer so it holds the right temp at 350, so nothing is greasy.

The flour was 4 points and I count 1 point for the oil.
