The small @ww IG group that I follow is pretty close knit. And as much as my late husband would disagree, I consider my internet friends my friends, even if we’ve never met in real life.

I love being on the train coming home from work and getting messages about needing help with a recipe and they are standing in the kitchen and need help – stat!

Or if people tag me every single time they make my skinny pizza dough, even if they eat it three times a week.

Which is how I met Evan this past March. He direct messaged me and said “Biz, I am so sorry it took me so long to try your skinny pizza dough – I’ll never got back to 2 ingredient dough again!” We talked a bit, but as life gets in the way, I missed a bunch of times he mentioned me in his stories – I counted – 17! I am sure they were pizza related, but I’m not sure.

Last Monday was the last time I “talked” to him: I told him he was Killing It! And by that I meant with his weight loss and pizza skills.

He responded with three hearts. Yesterday, another WW friend posted “RIP Evan.” What?! Turns out he was stabbed to death in his parents home while they were at dinner. I was in shock. He was only 32 years old! I told Hannah I couldn’t even fathom if I went out to dinner and came home and found her murdered – how does a parent even handle that?! He seemed like such a nice, caring man – through the course of the day, so many people posted his picture, memories they had of him.

Just another reminder that life is short. Too short. I gave Hannah and Jacob extra hugs yesterday – and Jacob let me even though he’s not much of a hugger. 😀

I was -.2 this week. I did some research on carb cycling and through a bunch of sites, came up with this plan.

But I quickly realized that 178 grams of protein was way too much. Luckily I have several registered dieticians who said that I should do the math at kilograms not pounds – 1 gram of protein per 1 kilogram, so for me, that would be 80 grams of protein – whew!

So I planned my whole week!

I even planned my Saturday and Sunday, but what I quickly realized is that this leaves hardly any room for error. I put in all my food in My Fitness Pal and had to rearrange my day and eats to hit my macros as close as I could.

Yesterday morning I woke up at 7 and was wide awake. I stayed up for about 45 minutes, and thought “I could probably sleep a bit longer” and woke up at 9:30! So late for me! So I didn’t eat brunch until 11:30 and wasn’t hungry for lunch, so my macros were off yesterday.

I did, however, make amazing meatballs. I’ll post that recipe this week. These meatballs will morph into several meals this week. This is a recipe from Bobby from Flavcity’s new cookbook. So good!

So I am going to try to stick to my menu this week and keep you posted on how this carb cycling goes. 3 days lower carb, 1 day high carb, rinse and repeat.

I am excited that I am going to meet a follower from New Zealand for dinner tonight – she’s in town for a few days and we are going to meet – so fun! Another internet friend that will become a friend in real life. Love.

Happy Monday friends, make it a great day!
