I am addicted to breakfast pizza! The base of this pizza was 1/3 cup of my marinara when I had my asparagus ravioli earlier in the week – I added zucchini and chicken sausage to the base.
Topped with spinach, 1.5 ounce mozzarella cheese and 1 egg. Bake in 425 degree oven for 15 minutes, or until egg is set.
Done! Jenn and I still think it’s weird how the egg still looks raw!
I added hot sauce and fresh basil after it came out of the oven. This whole pizza tipped in at 675 calories, but I ate 3/4 of it. Believe me, it was very hard to give the dog the last piece!
Then it was off to twinfest! My sister Jenn and I:

And we always get pizza when we get together! 😀 I had three squares of sausage pizza. Our hostess had no hot sauce! But she did have chopped gardinera, so I put that on my slices. Lunch comes in at: 465 calories, 57 carbs, 26 protein, 15 fat and 3 fiber.
So while I had planned on making blackened chicken pizza for dinner, I – for once – was not in the mood for pizza!! Tony was having chicken wings, so I jumped on that bandwagon. Dinner comes in at 550 calories, 12 cabs, 42 protein, 33 fat and 1 fiber.

After dinner I took Ed for a short walk – it was rainy/foggy/chilly 🙁
So it’s no shock that my grade for Saturday was a C+

I decided that for every 50,000 page views I’ll do a giveaway as a thank you for everyone who takes time out of their day to see what goes on in my life – I really appreciate it!
So I thought it was only appropriate to keep the pizza theme going! Up today is a 3 piece Chicago Commercial Grade Pizza Set. With this set you can make thin crusts or Chicago style deep dish pizzas.
Just some of the pizzas I’ve made in the past here at BDL:
Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza with a layer of sausage (inspired from Diners, Drive-Ins and Dive)
Hand tossed Spinach Pizza with Parmesan and ricotta (inspired from The Lucky Monk)
No Rise Pizza Dough – ready in 5 minutes!
Okay, I’ll stop there! Wow, I really am obsessed with pizza! All you have to do is leave a comment telling me what your favorite pizza is – how easy is that?? I’ll pick a winner using random.org on Wednesday, April 28! 😀
While my menu planning is a bit plain this week – my lunches are going to be stellar! The lovely Sophia gave me some wonderful tips on making a Korean Tofu Spicy stew that I plan to make. Also on the menu?
- Low fat spinach dip with pita chips and fresh vegetables
- Alison’s soba peanut chicken salad
- cauliflower grilled cheese sandwich with cauliflower soup
- soon dubu tofu stew with brown rice
- macaroni and cheese soup with buffalo chicken bites (really can’t wait for this one!)
My only unusual breakfast is this girls Personal Tortilla Quiche. Our dinners are just using up meat that’s in our deep freeze, I’ll have to see how I can jazz them up using what I have on hand.
Plans for today? A trip to Bed, Bath & Beyond for new sheets and to buy a shower gift. Lunch out with Tony :D, laundry and cooking!!
Enjoy your Sunday!
I love thin crust pizza, but not so picky when it comes down to it! We have a local place that makes salmon and cream cheese pizza……it’s to die for. Just saying!
I made a breakfast pizza for the first time today, and I was amazed how GOOD the egg was on it! And it looked pretty too!!!!
Skimmed your last 3 posts….looked at the pics 🙂
Lots of good looking foods as usual. My favourite pizza is pepperoni, mushroom, bacon and pineapple.
I love veggie pizza with mozzarella & classic pizza sauce on a whole wheat crust. Sometimes I add turkey bacon.
I read your blog, just don’t comment a lot. But I think it’s great!
Favorite pizza lately is thin crust, with veggies, I’ve tried spinach and sweet potatoes recently and thought it was delish!
My favorite is the Margarhita. Plain, but never boring if you use good quality ingredients.
Sausage with banana peppers on white sauce. Delicious and ftw when you are drunk and you want something heavenly.
My favorite pizza is a white pizza with veggies on it! Your No Rise Pizza Dough has been our go-to dough now!
Such beautiful and warm smiles. It is easy to see how you are addicted to this breakfast pizza!
Love the pick of you and your sis!
Favorite pizza is definitely BBQ chicken, so good!
1 – you and your sister are the cutest
2 – to cause trouble, tell your sister i’m on her side, as your twin she should have been invited to your wedding (LOL – totally messing with ya, i love making trouble)
3 – NO HOT SAUCE? that is no way to live. you need to sit your hostess down for a serious talk!
I love sausage, red peppers, black olives and italian seasoning in the sauce I make 🙂
i love lotsa veggies!
Pizza is quite possibly the world’s perfect food. I keep meaning to try your breakfast pizza!
My fave is something Mediterranean or loaded with veggies. Usually with thin crust, but thick crust sure can be delicious!
I love soy cheese with portobella mushroom, roasted red peppers and hot peppers… Or broc, tomatoes, olives, mushrooms and peppers. And whole wheat crust. I love lots of veggies on my pizza.
You always make me want to eat pizza.
Mine is a toss up between ham and onion or barbque chicken. If I were to eat one right now it would be barbque chicken.
I think pizza is a fine obsession, if one is obsessed with something. My favorite pizza is a nice greasy pepperoni, boringly delicious 🙂

Only one favourite? I like anything on pizza dough! Although I’m usually lazy and pull out a pita to put it on 😛 making pizza dough is sort of like baking and I don’t bake. But if I buy the dough I’m okay 😛
My favourite is probably pesto as the sauce with chicken and red onions (yea I know onions…)
I’ll forgive you for the onions! Hey, I made your soba noodle salad for my lunch tomorrow – amazing!! I did tweak it a bit – just added more veggies and made it spicier with sriracha! 😀
I am slightly disappointed that you didn’t go for the trifecta and have pizza for dinner…just to say that you did it! Twinfest sounds fun, as usual – you always seem to have a good time no matter what you are doing, lol!
Don’t enter me in the giveaway because quite frankly I am too lazy to make my own pizza, although I wish that weren’t the case every time I see one of your creations!
I know, right??!! I kinda disappointed myself! Well, when and if we ever meet, our first order of business is Pizza 101!
I love a pizza with spinach, feta, red onion and mozzarella…on a whole wheat crust!
I love to make a white pizza with ricotta and mozzarella. I’ve never made a Chicago style pizza, but I would love to give it a try!
