Although it won’t feel like it until Tony is home!

My sister-in-law called this morning to invite me and Hannah over for breakfast before heading to the hospital.  Can you believe I forgot to take a picture?!   She did a great job: sausages, french toast, hash browns, banana bread, scrambled eggs with cheese and coffee.

Here’s the aftermath though!

So after breakfast Hannah and I went to the hospital.  Joe was already there when we got there.

When we were there they changed the dressing on his knee.  I was going to post the picture of what the staples look like, but thought it was a bit too gross!  Let me just say, there are a lot of them!

I went to the cafeteria for lunch again and ended up getting the same thing Tony had delivered to him.  I guess you could call these mixed veggies, but they all tasted the same!

Tony’s parents and sister came to visit in the afternoon.  They ended up taking Hannah home with them and then I met at my sister-in-laws house for dinner.  Here is my plate – I was hungry but the time I got there!

gnocci with sauce, shredded parm and a side salad (brussell sprouts too, but I am still not sure I like them yet!)

And my sister-in-law has the cutest dog – Buster, a jack russell terrier.  Um, I think he was waiting for me to drop something!

So the presents are still under the tree, waiting until Tony comes home.  Luckily our kids are teenagers and understand!  Fingers crossed he comes home tomorrow, but at the very latest, Saturday!

Hope everyone else had a great day though!  I’ll post tomorrow when I can – hopefully with good news that Tony is home!
