Okay, I realized at about 10:00 last night that I never posted my dinner last night! Shame on me!
I wasn’t hungry at dinner time because of the huge piece of pizza I had, but I had thawed a steak for Tony. I sauteed some mushrooms in butter and then topped them on the grilled steak – this was a bone-in New York strip. Turns out our dogs loves to eat the bones!
But then around 8:30, I was hungry, so I heated up some of the thin crust sausage pizza leftover from lunch.
I am so excited to try out this yeast biscuit recipe from Robin Sue! I made only a half batch because the full recipe calls for 1 cup of butter and I only had two sticks of butter. I like the fact that I was able to make the dough last night and now I am just about to bake them off. I am going to take her suggestion and cut them into squares, since she said the more you work with the dough, the dough becomes more dense.
So I am off to preheat the oven. Tony’s going to get biscuits and sausage gravy for breakfast today! See you later!
I want to try those biscuits too, they looks so easy to make! Let us know how yours turned out.
I’m scared of using yeast so kudos to you!! Hope the biscuits turned out well 🙂
That steak looks absolutely amazing!! I may need to break out some mushrooms this week, even though the fiance hates them… he can pick them out!
Whoa, pizza looks scrumptious!
