I’ve compiled some of my favorite appetizers and my friends Ed, Stephanie, Emily and Gina have graciously let me share some of their amazing recipes too.

In no particular order, here are some of my favorite appetizer recipes from my friends.

Ed from DwardCooks

I’ve been following him for years, and had the pleasure of traveling with him to Italy last year!  So down to earth, makes amazing recipes and is an awesome husband and father of two little girls.

Cheeseburger Egg Rolls

I love the idea of these egg rolls – and he also has directions if you don’t have an air fryer.  Each one is 3 WW points.  Click here for the recipe.

Oven Baked Potato Skins

Perfect recipe if you don’t have an air fryer.  Potatoes sometimes get the stink eye, but they are full of nutrients.  If you bake your potatoes ahead of time, cool them, and reheat them as in Ed’s recipe, it reduces the blood sugar spike by up to 40%.  Works for rice too! Click here for the recipe.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

If the word “buffalo” is in a recipe, it’s pretty much a guarantee that I will make it.  Read the whole post because he has some great ideas on how you can use leftover dip.  Each 1/2 cup serving is 5 points.  Click here for the recipe.

Garlic Knots

Not going to lie, I am kind of kicking myself that I haven’t tried garlic knots with my skinny pizza dough, but these look amazing.  Only 1 WW point per knot and great for dipping into your favorite marinara.  Click here for the recipe. This photo is from Ed’s blog in 2018 – can we just say how amazing his food photography has improved in the last five years?!  Thanks Ed for letting me share some of your recipes. ❤️ If you want to follow Ed on Instagram, click here.

Steph from Sweet Savory and Steph!

Sweet Savory and Steph

I’ve been following Steph for a few years now.  We also share the same Instagram manager. 😉

One of the reasons I love Steph’s recipes is that she’s not afraid to eat real food.  By that I mean while she tweaks recipes to make them a bit more WW friendly, her recipes are something anyone in your family would love to eat and they wouldn’t even know they were eating lightened up meals.

Skinny Florentine Chicken Meatballs

I’ve had this recipe earmarked since the day she posted it a few weeks ago.  Looks so fancy, but this comes together in no time.  5 meatballs with sauce is 3 WW points.  Click here for the recipe.

Roasted Garlic and Caramelized Onion Dip

I know I will get flack about sharing an onion dip since I hate onions, but my daughter LOVES onions and I know she would be happy if I shared this.  3 tablespoons for 1 WW point.  Click here for the recipe.

Mango Salsa

Salsa’s are a great side dish/appetizer because a lot of them are low or zero points so you can spend points on your favorite chips for dipping.  Steph’s mango salsa is 0 points.  Click here for the recipe.

Layered Taco Salad

Is it really a Superbowl Party if you don’t have a layered taco salad?  Love the fresh spin on this dish.  It’s 7 WW points per serving.  Click here for the recipe.  Thank you Steph for letting me share some of your recipes! ❤️ If you want to follow Steph on Instagram, click here.

Emily from Emily Bites

Emily from Emily Bites blog

Emily is an old blogger friend.  We started following each other probably in 2010 or 2011?!  It’s been a long time.  There aren’t many bloggers who are still blogging after 13 or 15 years – when I look at old blog posts there are so many people I followed that stopped blogging for one reason or another.  I can’t believe my blog will be 15 years old in September!  Luckily for me, Emily is still going strong!

Goat Cheese and Mushroom Tartlets

I love everything about this appetizer.  Bite sized.  Make ahead.  I puffy heart goat cheese!  Each tartlet is 1 WW point.  Click here for the recipe.

Buffalo Deviled Eggs

Gina from SkinnyTaste

Gina from SkinnyTaste

I am sure Gina needs no introduction, but she and I started blogging around the same time.  I’ve been lucky enough to meet her in real life, and she has two  daughters, and her oldest is just about the same age as my daughter.  A New York Times Best Selling cookbook author with over ONE MILLION cookbooks sold, she is the OG recipe developer with Weight Watcher recipes.  Check out her Amazon storefront – a lot of her cookbooks are on sale today!  I may or may not already have all of them. ❤️ Fast forward and her recipes are now also categorized in such categories as air fryer recipes, freezer meals, keto recipes, low carb, paleo, kid friend, under 30 minutes, etc.  If only my blog were that organized #goalz 😂

Everything Bagel Pigs in a Blanket

Yes.  Just yes.  I need these in my life!  Two piggies are 3 WW points.  Click here for the recipe.

Loaded Nachos with Ground Turkey, Beans and Cheese

Truth be told, I don’t think I’ve ever made nachos with ground turkey.  This recipe makes me want to change my decision on that!  Each serving is 9 points and worth every one.  My go to is ground beef, but love this lightened up version.  Click here for the recipe.

Pepperoni Pizza Bites

Gina uses the 2-ingredient dough and there is no shade that she loves that dough.  These pepperoni pizza bites look delicious – 4 bites are 7 WW points.  This would also be a great dinner served with a big salad.  Click here for the recipe.

Spicy Crunchy Tuna Tartare

When I first met my late husband, he took me to a sushi restaurant and asked me try this raw ahi tuna dish.  I quickly said “no thank you!”  It took me years to even try it, so if you haven’t tried it in a long time, I strongly suggest you give it another go.  Love that these are served on crispy slices of cucumber.  It’s only 3 WW points per serving.  Click here for the recipe.

Baked Zucchini Sticks

Growing up (much like now!) I didn’t eat many cooked vegetables, unless they were deep fried – ha!  Fried zucchini was the first cooked vegetable that I immediately fell in love with.  And to this day, zucchini is probably my favorite vegetable.  Love Gina’s lightened up baked version.  Only 3 WW points per serving.  Click here for the recipe.

Biz from My Bizzy Kitchen

That’s me!  If you are new here, I finally got my act together in 2022 and managed to lose nearly 30 pounds, even while traveling 8 times last year.  I finally flipped the switch of treating Weight Watchers as a lifestyle and not a diet, and that’s when everything changed.  Here a few of my favorite appetizers.

Black Bean Dip

Feel free to double or triple this recipe, it is that good!  As written, it serves two people.  Each serving is 2 WW points so you can enjoy your favorite tortilla chips.  Click here for the recipe.

Perfect Shrimp Cocktail

Ah, this blog post brings back so many memories.  Just 5 years before my husband died, he used to “wine and dine” me by taking me to some of my favorite places after a long work week.  This is the only method I use to make perfect shrimp cocktail, no matter what size shrimp you use.  It’s zero points for the shrimp, you would just have to count the points for your favorite shrimp cocktail sauce. Click here for the recipe.

Buffalo Chicken Bites

You will want to double or triple this recipe.  The recipe as written is 2 servings – 3 WW points each.  And no air fryer needed!  I pan fried these in avocado oil spray before tossing in buffalo sauce.  Click here for the recipe.
