Well the 8+ inches of snow we were supposed to get never happened. The temperatures never got low enough thank goodness – if you would have translated the rain we got before it started to snow, I think we would have easily gotten a foot of snow.
I was glad, because I worked until 9:00 last night. I was worried I’d have to drive home in blizzard conditions, but the roads were just wet, not icy. This morning its cold – 20 degrees, but we maybe got a half inch of snow?
I had half a baked potato in the fridge, so I made a breakfast stuffed potato. I scooped out the insides of the potato and cooked that with 1 egg, chopped deli ham, baby spinach and scrambled it at home. Once at work, I microwaved the potato skin for a minute, stuffed in the scrambled egg mixture and then put a slice of Swiss cheese on top and stuck it under the broiler. Super filling and delicious.
No workout yesterday. I had to run an errand for one of my bosses, and then I had a one hour webinar I had to attend for work. I had leftover enchiladas from the other night – you can’t see it, but I have a cup of chopped baby spinach under my chicken enchilada and Mexican rice.
When I got home I had another Christmas gift from blog reader Carol – how did she know I like spicy shit??!! Thanks Carol (and sorry for the shitty picture – it’s still dark outside this morning! I can’t wait to try the wasabi ass kicking sauce!
My boss is notorious for saying “we are almost done” when working on a project. The very first night I worked for her I worked until 4:00 a.m., and at 10:00 p.m. she told me we were almost done – at 2:00 a.m. I told Tony just to go to bed and not wait up anymore!
But it’s hard to decide whether to order dinner in or not. If we don’t order food, I think we just focus on and continue until we are done. Once food is ordered, it’s almost saying we are in it for the duration and it could be hours before we are done.
But in the end, I ordered Chinese food. It’s a place across the street and they literally deliver in less than 10 minutes. I got kung pao beef – but holy shit, this was almost too spicy! I ended up skipping the white rice, but when I take it for lunch today, I think I’ll need the rice to bring it down a notch.
And wouldn’t you know that 30 minutes after this was delivered, my part of the project was done and I got to come home. Sadly, the Christmas tree was not lit when I pulled in the drive and I didn’t even notice it until an hour after I was home. Tony thought he would go the whole night without it being on, but I turned it on an hour before I went to bed.
So I have one more personal day to take that I can’t carry over to 2013, so I have the day after Christmas off – so a five day weekend!
And tomorrow? Tony and I will have been married 12 years on 12.22.12! If you ask Tony, he says it feels like we’ve been married 30 years! It’s only because we each married our best friend and we get each other so well that it feels like we’ve been together our whole lives.
Happy Friday – make it a great day!!
you totally would have appreciated the eight pack of random hot sauces I got Darren for Christmas 😀
Enjoy your long weekend! I’m drooling over your breakfast potato right now.
Happy Anniversary to two of the best people!
I love hot foods but even I’ve tasted some that almost cross the line 🙂
Speaking of spicy Chinese take out – have you ever tried Tan Tan Noodles? So good, and so spicy! I’m eating leftovers right now, and I feel they would be Biz approved 😀
I have not tried that – but it sounds right up my alley!
Where do you work? P.S I’m glad I found your blog….read your daily message every morning in my email

Happy Anniversary!
We dodged the snow bullet as well, at least for today. It turned to all rain. We might get a white Christmas, though!
Happy Anniversary! 🙂
Happy Anniversary Biz! You two do seem like best friends and I wish you more fun and good times in the years to come. Enjoy that 5 day break from work.
Happy Anniversary, you two!!!! I totally understand Mr. Bizmoto’s sentiments. Both Jon and I feel like there never was a time before we were married. 🙂
Happy Anniversary and enjoy those extra days off! I vote you keep the tree on 24/7 😀
Congratulations and Happy Anniversary!!!
“If you ask Tony, he says it feels like we’ve been married 30 years! It’s only because we each married our best friend and we get each other so well that it feels like we’ve been together our whole lives.”

Love the 1st picture of your yard……..the snow on your blog makes it perfect 🙂 Happy Anniversary to you and Tony ~ hope you do something really different!!! Enjoy your days off……almost like a mini-vacation.
Well happy early anniversary! Tom keeps unplugging my tree and I have to plug it back in. Just because he is going to bed at 9 doesn’t mean I am too! 😉 I hope you have an awesome 5 day weekend and a very Merry Christmas!
Oh, happy early anniversary!!! How exciting!
And I need to make some enchiladas! I really miss them with all the cheese…
Now…that is one LONG work day! I sure hope you like your job!:) We got about 7 inches here, plus horrible blowing winds….it was just lovely.
happy anniversary!
It is funny you mention the tree. My family knows that is the ONE job they must have completed before I get home each night. The tree plugged in and all the other outside lights etc. shining bright 🙂
Early Happy Anniversary! Yeah for a five day weekend!
Congratulations and Happy Anniversary early. After today, I won’t have to return to work until Jan 2nd! I love that our company has this long break every year. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas. I’ll be heading to North Idaho to be with family and from the looks of it, I will have a very white Christmas. Maybe I will build a snowmen with my nephew this year. Have fun.
Happy early Anniversary! After today, I’m off til next Thursday too! It’s a good thing, cuz I’ve got to get everything done that I should have done before today.
Hoorah for an entire week off!!!
Happy Anniversary – I hope that Tony’s gift to you is a lit Christmas tree as soon as the sun sets. 😉
Happy early anniversary! Happy Friday, too! 🙂 Enjoy the next few days off!
Happy anniversary tomorrow!! Enjoy the time off. The chinese looks good even if it was spicy!!
