This is going to be a quick post because the storms are getting closer and I need to shut off the computer soon!
So for lunch it was more “what can I make out of my fridge!” I used two flour tortillas, 1/4 cup refried beans, baby spinach and an ounce of colby cheese to make a quesadilla, drizzled with my baja fresh salsa.
And then I found a package of my zero point Mexican soup! I added 2 ounces of chicken to it, so it became a 2 point soup!
I did Level 3 of 30 day shred before work yesterday. At lunch, I tried another bike ride – this time it was a steady hill climb – my only goal was to beat the pacer bike and I beat him by two minutes! It was 7 miles and I did it in 30:25. Then I did 3×25 abs with a medicine ball.
Tony picked me up for our date since the theater is closer to my office. We started out at Pinstripes for a drink. They had Goose Island 312 on special for $3!
Then we made our way to the theater. Tuesday night is “members” night. Select beer and wines for $3. and they have a reduced price menu.
I started out with the Caesar salad, then had two organic beef sliders.
So obviously dinner with drink came in high (797 calories, 49 carbs, 28 protein, 35 fat and 4.6 fiber) , but I didn’t do too bad overall! The movie was wonderful, and we lucked out – no kids in the theater! 😀 Thanks for a great date night Tony!
Stats for Tuesday:
- 25 minute level 3 – 30 day shred
- 7 mile 30:25 bike ride
- 5 minute abs
- 1,814 calories, 164 carbs, 84 protein, 75 fat and 22 fiber
Cheerleaders needed! If you have time in the next couple days, please stop by two blogs for a couple people who are struggling at the moment.
First off is 101 Days of Summer Participant Al (Losing Harry). He had a business trip that sidetracked him and he’s trying to get back on track after losing 11.8 pounds the first week of the challenge! He had a goal to reach by July 4th, so if you could stop by and cheer him on, I would appreciate it!
Next up is my brother Charlie of Back to the Fridge. He’s trying to turn the “switch” to the on position, which means he watches what he eats and exercises. He’s almost back to where he started. He’s a wonderful writer and very funny! It’s been a while since I mentioned it, but he wrote a book “Why Your Last Diet Failed You and How This Book Won’t Help You on Your Next One.”
My friend Helen almost peed her pants at my brother’s description of walking the Chicago marathon! Speaking of Helen, she gave me one of her books she didn’t want anymore – its called “The Spark” and is written by the founder of Spark people. Thanks Helen!
How about a giveaway? Please leave a comment on Al or Charlie’s latest blog post for a chance to win my brothers book. I’ll throw everyone’s name in a hat and pick a winner tomorrow morning. Let’s be great cheerleaders today!
Off to do a 30 minute AM yoga – make it a great day!
That food looks ridiculous! I can’t believe that’s just a normal lunch for you! haha..it’d take all day for me to come up with that 😛
I went over to Charlies site left a long comment:) How goes the weight this week? I couldn’t help but notice the fat grams and calorie count were high on todays post said with concern and care:) don’t take it the wrong way please.
I have done the dvd 2x so far this week how did we decide to do it 3x? What were we thinking? I’m still sore from Tuesday Shred so I might have to wait and do it on Friday. I am down 2-3 pounds depending on the day:)
It was a night out, so I am not worried about it – but thanks! 😀 After my post this morning I am doing level 3 again for the 2nd time this week. I don’t know what we were thinking, but we can do it! 😀
quesadilla looks great
I always covet your breakfast pizza……come to not so sunny Washington and make me one!!! I’ll take you out on our boat, and serve dinner to you!!!
Today was my first day reading your blog. Man, am I hungry after looking at those pictures. I wonder what kind of salad I can throw together.
that book is hilarious!!!!!
oh geez storms are a coming u say? be safe!!!
<3
Happy to be a cheerleader!!! I commented on Al’s older blog post, but don’t worry about entering me! Ra-ra, go team!
The quesadilla looks amazing! I love that you and Tony have date nights, especially mid-week! Mark and I need to get a little spark goin’ on…we are such home bodies!!!
your breakfast and lunch look amazing! so good…….
Now that I am a runner (wink wink) I’m going to re-read the marathon part of Charlie’s book (and I already have it so don’t enter me).
Glad you got to see the movie sans children – oh, and your dinner sounded fun! We are going tonight, but I’m sure there will be kiddos. Oh well.
BIZ HELP…
I don’t know if you monitor your comments… weird question, but you are the only diabetic I know…
My wife just called, and wants me to make something she can take to a function. Her boss is diabetic. I am in the middle of making banana muffins… Are they OK for diabetics? I used one cup of brown sugar, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar… recipe would make two loafs of bread, and about 48 muffins… would be perfect if it works.
drop me an email if you have an opinion

It really depends – if they are on insulin – they would be fine, they would just have to take more insulin.
If they are taking oral medication, they would just have to eat the muffin with a protein to help slow the sugar.
Charlie’s a great writer! And it’s fun to find a new blog; I hadn’t seen Al’s yet, and I love his 1 Year Challenge. Maybe I should get my Mr. on board with a 1-year-challenge like that. If there’s two of us racking up the miles, maybe we can get to Hawaii? (Hmmm…it’s about 2400 miles. Maybe that should be more like a 1.5 year challenge….)
Food looks good as usual – I am going to try one of your breakfast pizza’s this weekend.
I became followers of both blogs 🙂
Stopped by Charlie’s blog. He was a great speaker at Fit Bloggin and it’s always good to see more of what he has to say!

Thanks for introducing me to Charlie’s blog, I hadn’t seen it before. I’ve been to Al’s trying to encourage him, I’ll check them both out and I’ll look for that book too! Your breakfast pizza’s always look amazing to me, I so need to do that!
You are a CRAZY woman for doing level 3 of the shred and biking etc! I did the shred previously (before I ended up with severe shin splints)…and I wasn’t anywhere close to level 3!! As always your food makes me hungry 🙂
Those quesadillas you made look so professional! YUM!
Just left Al’s page. Go USA!!! It posted as Brewcitygirl.
Stopped over by Charlie and so want a FED UP tee shirt. Funny this morning I felt I needed a cheerleader this morning too. So I made myself walk over to the store (had to get bus tickets) but instead of walking right back. I added some blocks on to the walk home. I won’t let the candy and cheetos get me today like they did last night. Thanks so much for so much inspiration.
Will you make me breakfast every morning??? Your pizza looks amazing! And I love 312. It’s my all time favorite beer!
I wish this weather would stop acting up, too! I’m so tired of rain and storms!
Oh my goodness! I’ve been following your blog for a while now and I think we might live close to each other. I recognize the menu from the theater! I really like their steak sandwich, but I usually only eat 1/2 since it is so big. I LOVE all your yummy looking food. Yesterday’s pork tenderloin made be positively salivate! I’ve been following Al for a while, so I’ll head over and cheer him on. And then to check out your brother’s site. I love funny writers!
What an incredible looking pizza. Wish I had had that for breakfast today instead of my boring cereal!
Well I already commented to both of them but you don’t have to enter me for the book as I already own it. Everyone should enter that hasn’t read it though, as Charlie is a very funny guy indeed. Has he forgiven you for not doing the marathon with him yet?
Not sure yet – although I do tell him that he has the medal to show for all the hard work! 😀
Thanks Biz….Ironically as I read your post I was thinking…Cheerleaders? I love cheerleaders…Little did I know you posted for me.
Thanks again and I appreciate the support.
Any time Al! 😀
I can be a cheerleader!
I was just about to ride my bike to work, and I just heard thunder….rats!
Food looks great Biz – talk to you soon!
The Mexican Soup looks awesome! I’m bookmarking it!
Your food always looks so incredibly appetizing. That breakfast pizza and quesadilla just look delicious. I can never create anything that beautiful for daily meals!
