I am so glad I found this! I’ve read about sugar free apple pie filling, but had not been able to find it, and to order it online the shipping cost was too much. I found this at Walmart of all places – each can is only $1.69 and each serving is 30 calories and 7 grams of carbs per 1/3 cup – not bad!
I added 1/3 cup to my Fage and sprinkled it with a tablespoon of pumpkin flax granola for some crunch – it tasted like I was eating apple pie ala mode!
I also had an ounce of Italian bread toast with a shmere of smart balance:
And a filling egg white omelet: 1/2 cup liquid egg whites, handful baby spinach, 2 tablespoons cheddar cheese and 1 tablespoon real bacon bits.
I am so excited for my lunch today – in my head its amazing! It’s a shrimp salad with the Harmony blend grains with baby spinach, asparagus, tomato basil feta cheese, hard boiled egg and a honey lime jalapeno dressing – I kind of stole parts of the idea from www.101cookbooks.com – Heidi always comes up with amazing combinations!
Alright, morning break is over – see you at lunch! 😀
