Since I did the treadmill at lunch, I knew I had to squeeze in my shred (to earn my sticker!) and had the brilliant idea of heading down to the gym at 5:00 to do it before I even got home. But when I went down there, there were people down there and they had a dvd already going, so that didn’t work.
So I came straight home, was in the house at 5:15 and had Hannah start the dvd to get it ready while I changed into workout clothes. By 5:20, I started the video, by 5:45, I was done – took a quick shower and and we left for sushi at 6:00! Sweet!
I love this place – because we are usually in and out of there within an hour.
I have no idea how many calories this is. I had 700 to “spend” on dinner, so I’ll just call it a wash!
Stats for the Day:
- calories – around 1500
- 45 minute run (5.0 mph)/walk (4.0 mph) alternating each for five minutes, ending in walking
- Day 23 of 30 day Shred!
I can’t believe tomorrow is Friday already – although since I had Wednesday off with Tony, it felt more like Monday for me today!
Hannah just finished day 2 of her ACT tests – she’s really worried how she did, but I am sure she did fine. She’s a straight A student (except for math which is always a C), but she tends to freak out during big tests – luckily homework is her saving grace!
As for my CSA – I think I am just going to go with the Summer one, because I know I’ll get produce I will actually use and hopefully be able to try new things that I would never get. The summer one is $225.00 for 8 weeks, which comes to $28 dollars a week, which I can easily fit into our $125 weekly food budget.
Okay, off to watch a new Office! Hope everyone had a good day – see you tomorrow!
I went for sushi last night as well. I was torn between agedashi tofu & tempura, and went with the tempura this time. Have to save room for a couple rolls!
How I love sushi, sounds like a fun night!
great job on the shredding!!! and dinner sounds fun.
I’m sure Hannah did better than she thinks. I remember taking the ACTs and feeling like I did horribly – I didn’t ace them by any means, but I did better than I thought. Standardized tests are so strange!
What is a CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture – there is a farm in Crystal Lake where you can “buy” a piece of the farm and every Saturday you pick up a box of produce – if I pick the summer one I know I’ll definitely get tomatoes, but other than that, you get what you get!
I thought it would be a great way to try new things I wouldn’t normally pick up at the grocery store – we’ll see! 😀
All that food looks so good!
I wish I had a CSA closer to me I would love to do a summer one!
I definitely only do the CSA-type things in the summer. We did it last year and it was great until Fall came around and then I had so many apples I didn’t know what to do with them!!
Sushi looks amazing, I’ve never tried the rice paper.
I am not really a fan of sushi but i do like tempura, my husband says to tell you that he also loves that beer and it is very good!
I LOVE age dashi tofu as well!!! When I go to AYCE sushi, which is pretty abundant here in SOCal, I get my endless age dashi tofu fix!! Delicious! Wonderful sushi meal!
aged dashi tofu is DELICIOUS! of course it’s a bonus when it melts in your mouth too!!! 🙂 I really love the looks of all your orders at the Japnaese place today!! YUM to everything!!
P.s. Just a heads up, if you like salsa I’m doin’ a giveaway with 3 possible winners! <3
The tempura looks great! Mmm
Yay tofu!
Tempura is the best! And whoa, that age dashi tofu looks so good!
Yeah for sushi! Have a wonderful evening!
:O i’ve never heard of soy paper – how cool!
AGE-DASHI is my FAVORITE appetizer too!!! They put straw mushrooms in the broth at our place…
