I am challenged when it comes to putting things together, following directions, painting (we won’t go there!), so I was kind of worried about being able to put this shelving unit together. Luckily Joe was over last night for Crab Fest and added the help I needed!
So we went to the neighbors last night for Crab Fest! Hannah played with the twins while Joe played guitar hero with their 5 year old. I knew I’d like these neighbors the first time I went to their house and they had this hanging on the wall!
But the star of the show was the crab!!!!!
Tony doesn’t like the knuckle meat, but I do, so I kind of picked all the meat out of mine and his and made butter crab soup!
It was a really fun time. We usually play cards, but we ate kind of late, so we’ll have to do that next time.
And Joe brought me my birthday gift! I love how he worded the front of the card:
More cleaning is on tap for today, and I have yet to go grocery shopping. I still have to do my BSI recipe today over at Dinner at Christina’s. I plan on making shrimp with garlic and parsley sauce over braised red cabbage. This is all for me because no one likes cabbage but me! It’s not too late to enter your cabbage recipe – today is the deadline.
I also am going to try making homemade corn tortillas today too. Since the shelf took longer to put together than I thought, I did not do Jillian’s 30-day shred, so I have to do that sometime today too. Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday so far – see you later!
So much crab! I love fresh crab, although can you believe, I’ve never eaten it where I have to take it out of the shells myself? And I live on the freakin’ coast, what is up with that?!
I love the Tabasco sign!!!
Totally thought of you when I saw it too!
you need that tabasco sign! 🙂
I love crab – looks like fun!
The shelves are beeeeeautiful! I might have to do something like that in our basement!
Love the crab legs – where do you get them?
Thanks for the shout-out!
Sam’s Club – they are always good quality and nice and big. But expensive! Hence why we only do it a few times a year – we probably spent around $130 for close to 9 pounds. Tony may correct me on that, but I think that’s about right.
We justify it that if we were going to go out to eat for crab legs, there is no way we could get away with spending $130 for 5 people!
Hahaha, totally love the shelf!
Wow 2000 recipes, you’re going to be busy cooking 😀
The new shelf looks so good! Good job on putting that all together! Wow!
And yaaay on the new cookbook – what a great present!
The new shelf looks great!! Yay for a new cook book 🙂
Homemade corn tortillas are SO SUPER EASY!!!! I love them!
