I love our local deli.  The quality of meat is not only wonderful, but the prices match it.  We got 1/2 pound rare roast beef for $2.63!

Tony and I were going to do a comparison corned beef experiment – buying a medium to low grade and then a high end corned beef to see if there would be a significant difference in taste.  So I bought the low end at the store I went to, but that’s all they had. 

So at lunch I went to Jewel to pick up a high end one, and put it in the crock pot at work and then bring it home to compare.  They were all sold out!  Not a single one in the store!  But I did pick up baby potatoes and carrots and those are simmering in the crock pot to bring home.
