So this is a big day for us on the path for Tony to get his knee replaced.  He’s been off antibiotics for three weeks and today is the day we go and make sure the infection is out of his body so that can proceed with the knee replacement at the end of March.  Sadly, I have to see the person I love the most go through the most excruciating pain today – they have to put a needle in his knee to remove fluid to test for the infection.  Please have good thoughts for us today!  Then we see his heart doctor to get his okay for the knee replacement surgery.

So today is Ash Wednesday, no meat for Tony.  I am packing our lunches for our trip downtown and am making him an egg salad sandwich.  I think I’ve made that twice in my life?!   Hope it turns out!

My breakfast:  .65 ounce Italian bread, 1.5 ounce apple, 1 ounce cheddar cheese and 4 ounces cottage cheese:
