I think I am going on a record of how many posts I can do IN ONE DAY!
So a couple weeks ago I resurrected the BSI (Blogger Secret Ingrient) recipe contest. I passed the torch to Sarah and her selection was dates! I don’t really know anything about dates to tell you the truth, so I was a bit stumped on what to do. Until I found this product:
Then I just figured out what I had at home to come up with quick DATE WONTONS. I kind of feel bad even submitting this because there is no actual “cooking” involved! Just a quick assembly and pan fry in 1/2 teaspoon canola oil and Pam.

![p2010004-640x480 I used a bit of egg whites to seal the edges](http://biz319.files.wordpress.com/2009/02/p2010004-640x480.jpg)
After a quick pan fry (only about 2 minutes on each side) I sprinkled them with a bit of powdered sugar. The boys wouldn’t even try them but Hannah and I thought they were good. I imagine this would be a quick dessert to put together if company was coming over.

Yep, there will still be my dinner post! Hope there are some good commercials during the Superbowl! I am watching it in our back room because I am still coughingand I don’t want to ruin the game for the boys. And then this way I can toggle between FoodTV and just catch just the commercials!
lovely 🙂
haha man, guys are such pansies sometimes!! I bet if they just ate they would think they were soo good!
Date wontons! I would gobble these up in seconds! Great job!
Ohhh those are fun! Nice recipe!
Beautiful!
what an awesome idea 🙂
Wow, that is such a creative idea! And sorry to hear that you are coughing and all. But I like your idea of toggling back and forth with the FoodTV. Love it!
