I think I did a great job with that roast – it cost $11.50 for the sirloin roast, I got Sunday dinner out of it, then our sammies last night for dinner, and then the remaining roast became roast beef hash thanks to Tony’s awesome suggestion!
First I diced up 12 ounces of potato, since I had exactly 12 ounces of roast left.
Then I cooked the potatoes first since I didn’t want to overcook the meat. I diced the meat up the same size as the potatoes:
Then fried them up in a little bit of olive oil and salt and cracked pepper:
I had a one ounce slice of sourdough bread with 1 egg and 1/2 ounce mozzarella cheese on the side:
With Tabasco of course!! Okay, morning break is over – see you at lunch!
You’re a really good leftover-user-upper! I would never think of half the things you come up with to get every last cent out of food!
Oh the hash looks really good. And your sandwich looks amazing!
Your sourdough sammy looks amazing! Yum 🙂
Happy Wednesday!
