I brought stuff to make stir-fry for lunch, and as I am walking into the kitchen, it dawns on me. I AM OUT OF STIR-FRY SAUCE at the office! Nertz!
Well, there was some soy sauce in the fridge. But I needed something else. I asked my friend “taste this dressing and see you think it would work as a stir-fry sauce.” Her response, go for it!
So I give you Annie’s Goddess Dressing Tofu Ramen Noodle Stir Fry!
- 1/2 block ramen noodles (no seasoning packet)
- 3 ounces diced tofu
- 4 ounces chopped broccoli
- 2 ounces carrot coins
- 1 teaspoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of Annie’s Goddess dressing
The result? Very good! It’s tangy because of the vinegar base but blended well with the soy sauce. I think its a pretty good back up! Just missed the spice from my regular stir fry – I didn’t think Tabasco would work here, or would it?
I am on my own for dinner tonight – I am going to be making a healthy chimichanga for 1 and also making my BSI pumpkin recipe to submit tonight. In my head this recipe is great, but the way I cook, you never know. The only certainties is that the smoke alarm will go off and the kitchen will be a complete mess!
Oh, I do love a good chimichanga! Looking forward to tonight’s post.
Lunch sounded yummy, too. I can see how Annie’s Goddess dressing would work with this, it’s pretty robust.
I always use soy sauce in my stir fry. Way to dress up a package of Ramen!
Don’t cut yourself short I’m sure you’ll do just fine with the cooking tonight and I can’t wait to see your BSI recipe! 😀
Thank you for your comment on my blog 🙂 Yours is great–I love stir frys! Those theatre seats are AWESOME!
