It is SO NICE outside today!  They are saying that tomorrow for the Chicago marathon that temperatures could get into the mid 80s!  Not ideal marathon running temps (like I would know)!

I just remember a couple years ago my sister ran the marathon.  She had her cell phone so she could call and let us know where she was.  We had missed her at two previous mile markers.  So we go to mile 17 and she calls to say she is at mile 14.  My mom, Hannah and I just happened to be in Chinatown, so we decided we had time to have lunch.

Well, it was the best orange chicken I ever ate.  It was all chicken breast, lightly breaded, right amount of spicy sweetness.  Well, the waitress was taking forever with out check, so Mom told me to just go and see if she was coming.

Just as I got outside I could see her turn the corner towards me.  She then asks me “do you have anything to eat?  I’m starving!”  I didn’t have the heart to tell her that I had just had the best Chinese meal of my life!

You will probably get sick of these fall pics, but I can’t help myself!

Ed is always weird by the water.  When he was younger, he just dove in.  Now he gets almost close enough to put his nose in the water, but not quite!

I woke up starving this morning, so while I was out with Ed, hubby made me an egg beater/egg white/spinach/cheese omelet and cut up one of those Asian pears.  Yummo!  He makes the best eggs, they always turn out so light and fluffy!

Breakfast:

  • 1 cup egg beaters

Even though its nice out, I have a soup recipe I want to try, and I need to make biscotti for bosses day next week.  I was going to make scones, but I think the biscotti will hold up longer if I make it over the weekend.

Hope everyone got to sleep in this morning – I sure did!  See you at lunch.
