so my lunch workout has to be bad a$$! Some days I just can’t seem to get out of bed because I am so comfy!
This mornings breakfast is another modified Jillian breakfast – although her suggestion was a spinach and ricotta cheese omelet, and that didn’t sound good to be at all. So here is my twist:
- 1 egg
- 2 egg whites
- 1 ounce canadian bacon
- spinach
- 1/2 ounce cheddar cheese
- 2 rye Wasa crisps
- 1 medium pear (which was amazingly good!)
I am so excited because we are having dinner with my step-son tonight! Seems the older he gets, the less we see of him! The place we are going to has the most AMAZING burgers ever. Check out the menu – can you find anything healthy on it? What would you eat, or just give in and have the burger??

Alright, morning break is over – see you at lunch!
I like your version better. Looksand sounds really good.
There’s ‘way too much to choose from!
I’d get the filet mignon quesadilla – tell them to put half as much cheese on – and then eat half of it. With a beer.
I like your thinking mom!
I would order the poratbello burger and nix the sauteed veggies on top and ask for no butter on the bread with fresh fruit on the side 🙂
Wow. That place looks yummy. It also looks like a BIG food place. I’d probably get whatever sounded good (burger, portobello grill, or steak) and get a side of veggies. I’d enjoy all the veggies, some of the main dish, skip most of the starch, and then have leftovers the next day.
Your omelet sounds lovely.
Oh yeah, so nice. Nice menu options.
Hmmm, lots of tasty options on the menu. I say go with what looks good when you get there. If the burgers are awesome, get one! I’m a sucker for a good burger.
I’d get the burger! The salads look so loaded that they’re probably just as many calories.
The rest is worth it!! I like the idea of having the eggs with wasa – yum!
For the restaurant: Mmm to the mozz. triangles – not healthy but worth it! For a real meal though I’d probably pick the portabello garden grill but only because I don’t eat meat.
The Assembly is one of our favorite places, too. They have an amazing Cobb salad. The only bad thing I’ve ever had there was some kind of salad with sliced-up steak on top…but I was about 3 months pregnant at the time, so nothing really tasted good anyway. Can’t go wrong with any of their burgers, though. 🙂
Sleeping in is such a lovely thing to do. I’m jealous!
That menu made me hungry! I’d probably end up modifying a sandwich, a salad or the tacos. Although, a burger sounds pretty darn tasty. 🙂
beautiful breakfast!
oh man…everything on that menu sounds good!
i love cobb and chef salads, so those are always choices for me. the portobello sandwich sounds really good, too.
glad you got some extra rest 🙂
