Day 1 of 100 Days of 2024!

Welcome to our 100 day challenge!  If you missed it, Hannah and I are doing a 100 day challenge for the last 100 days of 2024.  What you decide to challenge yourself is completely up to you.  Is it weight loss?  Sleeping more?  Finding a hobby?  Switching jobs?

Setting intentions is about being clear on what you want to achieve and why it matters to you. It’s more than just writing down a goal—it’s about aligning your actions with your desires and making a commitment to yourself. When you set an intention, you create a focus that guides your energy and decision-making. For the last 100 days of 2024, I invite you to reflect on what truly matters to you right now. Ask yourself: what is my #1 goal for this challenge? Whether it’s personal growth, career advancement, or a lifestyle change, defining that goal will set the tone for everything you do. Take a moment to write it down, and use it as your North Star for the rest of the year!

Setting Intentions

Setting intentions is about defining a clear purpose and creating a roadmap for where you want to go. Unlike vague goals, intentions are rooted in the “why” behind your actions and help you stay focused even when challenges arise. For example, if your goal is to lose weight, setting an intention goes deeper than simply wanting to drop a certain number of pounds. It could be about feeling healthier, improving mobility, or gaining confidence. By connecting your goal to a deeper purpose, you’re more likely to stay committed and make choices that align with that vision, even when motivation dips.

With weight loss, setting intentions can look like focusing on consistent, daily habits that support your long-term success rather than fixating on quick results. Instead of just aiming to “lose 10 pounds,” you could set an intention to nourish your body with foods that make you feel energized, or to move your body in a way that feels joyful. Intentions keep you grounded in the present while guiding you toward your future, helping you stay connected to the bigger picture when the scale doesn’t budge or life gets busy. They remind you that progress is more than a number—it’s about building habits that last well beyond the 100 days.

Self-care Isn’t Selfish

As women, it often feels like we’re pulled in a million directions—balancing family, work, and all the other responsibilities that come with everyday life. It’s easy to fall into the trap of putting yourself last, giving all your time and energy to others. But here’s the thing: if you don’t prioritize yourself, who will? Self-care isn’t selfish; it’s necessary. Whether it’s pursuing personal goals, nurturing your well-being, or simply taking a moment to breathe, you deserve just as much attention as you give to your family and job. If you keep pouring from an empty cup, burnout is inevitable.

We all have the same 24 hours in a day, and while it can seem impossible to find time for yourself, it’s about carving out even small moments that are just for you. Start by looking at your daily routine and finding gaps where you can focus on your own goals. Maybe it’s waking up 15 minutes earlier for a quiet coffee or using your lunch break to go for a walk or journal about your intentions. These small pockets of time add up, and when you invest in yourself, you show up better for everyone else too. Let’s make a commitment to balance your needs with the demands of life—because you’re worth it.

Introduce Yourself!

If you feel comfortable, introduce yourself and let us know what your #1 goal is for the last 100 days of 2024.  We’d love to cheer you on!  Happy Day 1 of 100!
