Chicken Meatball Ravioli
Whether you call these chicken meatball ravioli, or chicken meatball wontons, all I know is that steamed or air fried, they were delicious!
For example, watch a bunch of YouTube videos by searching “how to fold wontons” and you’ll get the idea.
Why I love Mid’s Pasta Sauces
I love Mid’s pasta sauces because they bring an authentic, homemade taste to any dish without the extra effort. The rich, slow-simmered flavor reminds me of a sauce made from scratch, with a perfect balance of savory tomatoes, garlic, and herbs. What really sets Mid’s apart for me is that it doesn’t taste overly processed or too sweet like many other jarred sauces—it’s just pure, delicious flavor. Plus, it’s versatile! Whether I’m whipping up a quick pasta dinner or using it as a base for lasagna or pizza, Mid’s always delivers that comforting, homemade feel. I can easily find them at Mariano’s, and they also have a store locator on their website.
Here are my top three tips for using store-bought wontons:
1. Customize with Dipping Sauces:
Elevate store-bought wontons by pairing them with flavorful dipping sauces like soy sauce mixed with sesame oil and chili flakes, or a tangy ginger and rice vinegar dip. These add a personal touch and enhance the flavor without extra cooking.
2. Add to Broth for Instant Soup:
Store-bought wontons are perfect for a quick wonton soup! Heat up some broth (chicken, vegetable, or miso), add vegetables like bok choy or mushrooms, and drop in the frozen wontons. Let them cook for a few minutes until tender, and you’ve got a delicious soup in no time.
3. Crisp Them Up in the Air Fryer:
For a crunchy twist, cook your store-bought wontons in the air fryer. Lightly spray them with oil, and air fry at 375°F for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway. This gives them a crispy, golden texture, perfect for snacking or as an appetizer.

Chicken Meatball Ravioli
Chicken meatball ravioli are perfect for a meal plan because you could freeze individually and then boil like frozen ravioli or air fry to make them crispy!
Ingredients
- 18 wonton wrappers
- 4 ounces chicken breast
- 1/2 cup fat free cottage cheese
- 1 cup baby spinach
- 4 basil leaves
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon grapeseed oil
Instructions
First add the chicken through pepper in a food processor. Second, place a heaping teaspoon of filling in each wonton, wet the edges of the wonton with water and close. I watched a bunch of videos on youtube - just watch those and come back to this recipe 🤣
Third, pour 1/2 teaspoon grapeseed oil to the pan with avocado oil spray and pan fried the wontons for 2 minutes. Put 1/4 cup water and put a lid on the pan for 5 minutes. Drain any excess water. A second 1/2 teaspoon of grapeseed oil can be added to the pan with more avocado oil spray and pan fry a second time for 2 minutes.
Serve with pizza sauce and fresh basil as a garnish. With the 9 remaining wontons, I froze them on a cookie sheet for 30 minutes and stored them in a ziplock bag. The next day I just sprayed them frozen with avocado oil spray and air fried them at 360 for 8-9 minutes.
Notes
The first night I steamed and pan fried. I froze the second batch and went straight from the freezer to my air fryer for lunch the next day. Both versions are delicious by the way 😉
This made two servings of 9 wontons each. On #teampurple and #teamblue 9 wontons were 6 points or 333 calories. Green you need to add the chicken 🤩

You just keep on being you and try to ignore the nasty and less than helpful comments. Some people have nothing better to do. Screw them! You are refreshing!!
Thank you Kimberly! 😀
Yes, people are unhappy. I’ve had to really try to disengage. Unfollow, unfriend, block… whatever. Gotta control my own stress.
My work life balance is better working from home, but with 2 kids it’s still hard, yo! Who knows what’s going to happen with school.
That’s my favorite thing about working from home and getting the three hour commute back – but I applaud you Marcia and all the other parents who have had to deal with schooling their kids too – hang in there!
I am so sorry you have those hateful comments. I greatly appreciate how you put yourself out there as I know it can’t be easy and it is easy for people to be nasty through a screen. You are a gem, keep doing what you are doing, you have lots of people who love you!
Thanks – I know if I put myself out there that I am bound to not be everyone’s cup of tea – but my thought is “why follow me – there are so many more people out there!”
Hugs!
Wow, people really do have too much time and hate on their hands! Keep doing what you do, you are you, a real person…not fake. And that is why I continue to watch your videos, stories, etc. Just a quick question on the first line “Put the chicken through pepper in a food processor.” Do you mean the chicken and all the ingredients I would guess?
Thank you Natalie! And yes, put the chicken through pepper in the food processor to pulse. 😀
Keeping doing you Biz!
Thank you Grace!
