Can we just talk about this 847 Burger from Ravinia? All beef patty, smoked brisket, fried pickles, melted cheddar cheese and BBQ sauce. On a soft bun. Holy balls!
We all got to the venue about an hour before it started. We had time to grab a quick bite, and my sisters SIL said that he boss raved about the 847 burger, and you guys know I am a burger whore, so I had to try it.
It.was.delicious. All the flavor combinations worked, the brisket was tender. I was only able to eat just about half of that burger though – it was huge! I also enjoyed a beer and a glass of wine last night.
The weather was perfect. My sister and BIL got tickets to see John Hiatt. My favorite song of his is Have a Little Faith in Me. #love
I was so happy to see my sisters SIL Joan was able to attend! And it was nice that I got a ride home instead of taking two trains to get home – so great to see you!
And it was nice to have an evening episode of the Biz and Jenn show! Thanks guys for the tickets and dinner!
This is going to be a quick post because since I have the day off, I have the house to myself and am going to be so bizzy in my kitchen – favorite place to be. I’ll let you know if these mini tater tot tarts turn out – only 3 points each – I’ll post it next week if its a recipe winner.
Happy Friday! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! You’ll want to check out my blog post on Monday because MY BIZZY KITCHEN TURNS 10 YEARS OLD!! Holy balls. I’ve got an amazing giveaway you won’t want to miss out on.
This weekend also marks the 20th anniversary of my Dad passing away – cannot believe its been that long. You can check out this post about my Dad here.
Hope you have an amazing weekend with great friends, family and food. Hugs!
Hope your day was nice and bizzy yesterday.
Hi Charlie! It was!!
Thanks Lynne! And thanks for the honeycomb! I appreciate it! I got home about an hour and 20 minutes before I normally would have if I had to have taken the train 😛
My very first time reading your blog was on how to boil an egg properly. Tony was recovering from surgery and you had the most positive approach to dealing with your diabetes. Needless to say, I’ve followed you ever since. Way to go Biz!!!!!
Have a great long weekend! That burger looks awesome! Have heard of Ravinia, but never been there. Looks like it was a wonderful night! So glad you got a ride home 🙂
