I made enough chia pudding to bring some to my boss. He’s trying to eat healthy, and I think this is a delicious breakfast. The chia pudding is only 2 points a cup, and the trail mix is 3 points. I mean, you get a few M&Ms with breakfast!
He was away from his desk so I just left him a similar glass like this. He called me a few minutes later and was like “what is this?!” I thought he meant it in like “what is this gross ass shit” but he loved it! When I explained it was just chia seeds and unsweetened almond milk he was surprised. There I go again, changing lives, one chia pudding dish at a time!
It down poured on the way to work yesterday and with still a chance of rain during lunch, Jenn and I walked Macy’s. Guys, I haven’t done laundry in nearly a month. I joke and tell Hannah all the time that the maid just hasn’t shown up and how does she expect me to give her references if she doesn’t clean up after me?! I was spoiled when Hannah was off work and she did my laundry.
So I literally am wearing my last pair of clean underwear and my next to last clean top – which left me with this sparkly tank top – everyone loved it! So I had to sing at Macy’s, no?!
I saw this manikin and couldn’t help take a picture next to it.
And thanks to my brother, he sent this picture back – it made me laugh so hard!! Those are some ambitious ab goals!
Lunch was a six point grilled chicken wrap with cucumbers drizzled with Bolthouse Farms Ranch with EBTB seasoning.
Last week Hannah said that she and Jacob were meeting a co-worker at Coal Fire pizza on Tuesday night and asked if I’d like to go. Um, turns out they know I love pizza. I didn’t think I would make it, but in the end I didn’t have to work too late at work. What I didn’t realize is that it was Hannah and Jacob and their co-worker and . . .her boyfriend. So it was kind of like a double date and . . . me. But I always told myself if they invited me to go out – always say yes!
First order of business . . . wine. The other couple was really nice, although I had to chuckle under my breath a bit when they were talking about their parents – Jess said that Phil’s mom is aging really well – I asked how old his Mom was and he said “61.” š
Hannah and Jess were splitting a veggie pizza and Jacob and Phil were splitting a meat lovers pizza with calabrian chiles. Yum. I felt awkward ordering a whole pizza for myself, and in the end, ordered this coal fired sandwich of thinly sliced roast beef with horseradish goat cheese and greens. It was really delicious.
But you know what? Next time I am going to say “who the fuck cares” and order that pizza below. I love the crispy edges the coal fired oven gives the pizza.
I got some great steps in yesterday too, despite the rain.
I’ve been tempted to buy the coal fired pizza kit for the Weber grill. How cool would that be?! I’d probably make pizza for dinner every night though!
I’ve got softball tonight if the fields aren’t too bad. The season is almost over already. So sad.
Happy Wednesday my friends – make it a great day. Question of the Day: Have you ever had coal fired pizza? And Courtney – sorry I missed you! She was picking up take out and I must of just missed her. š
You look fabulous in that sparkly top! Great singing voice, btw š
Thanks Kimberly – hugs! š
Biz yoy look sooo lovely in that glitter top….š¤
Thanks Sharline! š
I saw you in that sparkly top on your IG yesterday and thought you had tried it on specifically to pose with that mannequin! I think when you’re wearing sequins to work, yeah…it’s time to do laundry, LOL.
P.S. Order the pizza and take home the leftovers!
Ha, nope – that glitty top has been in my closet for six months – it was the next to last top in my closet š And yes, next time I’ll bring the rest home!
I agree with Susan, you should treat yourself to the pizza kit. You make pizza for breakfast lunch and dinner so it would be a good investment. You are so sweet always thinking of others. I do have to admit, if that had been left on my desk I would have had an Invasion of the Body Snatchers moment and thought oh no, they are coming for me. I’m not crazy or paranoid, really.
Just like the baking steel – I’d get my monies worth š
I think you should buy that pizza kit as much as you love pizza come on!
Having said that you will have to control yourself and not make pizza every night.
Even when I ate regular pizza back in the day I never had coal fired pizza.
Thanks for your pep talk Susan! Control would be the key š The coal fire gives such an amazing texture on the crust.
