I love cheese every way! Salad, plain, quesadillas…
Probably my favorite way is with sliced apple
Congrats Marcia! Just shoot me an email with your mailing address and I’ll forward it on to the Cabot people.
For breakfast I had another breakfast parfait – so good! I definitely need to make more granola this weekend.
It was a chilly 48 when I went to take my walk, but sunny. It started out okay, but towards the end it got really windy and cloudy. I have no idea what that line is in that photo on the top right?!
One of the recipes in the cookbook that I am giving away was zucchini beef boats. I switched up the recipe a bit, by subbing in baby spinach for the red pepper – I only had two halves and was surprised at how filling they were!
It was a back day for strength yesterday:
It looks like I am starting to get a bit of definition in my back!
Then I did two miles on this type of elliptical machine – not sure what it’s called but you go side to side instead of front and back like a normal elliptical machine – it’s killer on your quads.
Then ran a mile without stopping!
I stopped by the store to pick up some charcoal and saw this in the discount bin. Huh. Four lobster cakes for .99? I couldn’t resist, so it went into the cart. They also had a package of 8 chicken legs for $2.25, so I picked those up too for Jacob. Grill once cook twice is my motto! Jacob loves any kind of grilled meat and that’s something he can take to work for lunch.
Once the chicken was done, I put on steak for me and Jacob and Hannah had a brat and a hotdog. We sat outside grilling and talking that by the time I got ready to plate our food I realized – no vegetable! Oh well.
There is a new app Hannah found called Ghost lens – check this picture out! It was taken in our backyard – you simply take one picture of the first person, and then Hannah stood on the other side and I could see my photo in the camera so I could match up her face to mine. We just downloaded the free version, but if you buy it, there are a ton of cool things you can do with it.
So many apps, so little time! I am such an app whore.
I did great on my steps yesterday, and am happy today is my rest day. My SIL and I are walking a 5k on Sunday – all you need to do is bring canned goods for your race entrance.
Alright, time to get this show on the road – I haven’t even showered yet and I have to leave in 20 minutes. Have a great weekend – what do you have planned?! Make it a great day!
Super cool app. I like what you guys did with the photo of you and Hannah. Super back muscles you are rocking it! Let us know if you get any good ideas on what the line in the sky is.

APPLAUDS YER BACK WHILE CLICKING AWAY TO FIND GHOST LENS!!
Girl your back looks strong!
The zucchini boats look delicious. I love zucchini, R. not so much.
Saw on FB that your 5K walk went great! I did a 10K walk with Bella last Saturday in perfect weather conditions.
How was that lobster cake? I’ve never seen those before, but I would love to try them if I can find some in my stores.
Sorry I didn’t reply sooner Erin – they tasted like ass – but what did I expect for .25 cents a piece! Don’t bother 😀
I did those zucchini boats with ground turkey Italian style and stuffed with spinach and ricotta and topped with cheese. So good and no carbs!
Your back is FIERCE!!! And that pic of you and Hannah is amazing. I have a theory about it. If it is only on the one picture, it may be a piece of your hair that blew across in front of the lens. If it was actually in the sky…hmm…
How was the Lobster cake?
They tasted like ass Randi – 99% filler – but you get what you pay for! 😀
OMG!! I never wine *anything*!! Sweet!
Now I’m super excited.
The zucchini beef boats look very tasty. I must try to make them. This weekend I plan on taking advantage of the beautiful weather that is expected in St.Louis and getting some serious steps in. Does wonders for my soul. Hope you have a fantastic weekend!
