Down 1.6 this week for a total of 14 pounds – and I was able to wear a size 12 pair of capri pants to work yesterday – that’s about the only good thing about being short – usually losing 10 pounds puts you in a smaller size. š
But then I had to go pick up my insulin – I was going to buy my insulin at Sam’s Club, but they were out and weren’t going to get any more until Tuesday. I went to my local Walgreen’s to see if they could help – it was $299 without insurance for 5 insulin pens. But for $20 I joined their Walgreen’s Insurance Program, and my insulin dropped down to $189 – that’s a big difference!
Hopefully this will last me until our insurance kicks in. Otherwise I might need to do a virtual bake sale to raise money for my insulin! š
Have a great weekend – it’s cool and rainy here in Chicagoland – I think I need to make some bread. š
Congrats on the loss and new clothing size, Biz!!! You are doing awesome ~ Keep up the great work!

It’s been cool and rainy here in Boston too and they are forecasting rain for the next week. ;(
Congrats…..Keep up the great work honey.
I sure hope that your insurance situation is resolved soon. Looks like you’ve found your switch on this weight loss thing. So happy for you Biz!
Yes, the switch is on and I hope it stays on for a long time! š

This weather stinks, doesn’t it Biz??
YAY! Great job on the 150’s! So awesome!
Yep – this weather really stinks – we are hoping to smoke a turkey breast today – hope the rain stays away!
Congratulations! I want to be in the 150s again too š You’re my inspiration!
Yay! to the weight loss; Boo! to the insulin cost – that sucks.
Congratulations on the 150s! š
Oh and Congrats on the weight loss. Slow and steady wins the race.
Did you ask your doctor for samples? I’m on Byetta and I’ve been getting samples for the last 6 months. Without insurance, its 230 a pen.
I thought of that, but they didn’t have any samples to give away. š
CONGRATS!!! You are shrinking away! I was down a meager 0.2, but I’ll take it! I did have 2 glasses of wine last night…oops š
Insulin…ugh. So expensive. I thought of you today — my mom called so say that their neighbor next door, their 5 y/o son was just diagnosed with diabetes š I feel so bad for him!! The pens are seriously wonderful though. I venture to say they’re well worth the money. Also ironic you mention the savings plan at Walgreens – I just got my renewal notice in the mail today.
Congrats again, Biz! Have a great day š
Woohoo, awesome news! Your new haircut looks great too š Hope you have a fabulous weekend!
AWESOME job!!!
Have a great weekend!
i was just in puerta vallarta and one of my friends inhalers with insurance is 198 dollars for 3 months and i saw it for 58 dollars for 3 months…might be worth a vacation:) but sooo would be buying from your virtual bake sale…yummmy love all your stuff i see you create:)
Great job on the loss!
My husband has that sticker shock with his asthma inhalers. He now purchases mail order just to get some sort of savings, but it is expensive. One of the reasons to consider moving to Canada…
I dont know why everyone thinks the drugs in Canada are less expensive. Especially now with the Canadian dollar being worth more than the US dollar. I lived in Canada for 7 years and from what I’ve seen, the drug costs are about the same. Also, in canada you pay a dispensing fee to the pharmacist.
Woo hoo!
Biz, you are catching up to me so fast! I’d better get my butt in gear!! lol Congrats, you earned that sticker. BTW, I would totally be 100% behind a bake sale to raise money for you and Tony’s medical costs since you don’t have insurance right now, and I think everyone else would too. I know you meant it as a joke, but the cost of medicine without insurance is no joke!
Congrats, Biz!!! All your hard work has paid off! It’s always so exciting to dip into a new weight decade!
LOL…I love that being short perk too! š
Biz, you are a ROCKSTAR! Way to go!!!
It takes me 15 lbs to go down a size. I’m 5’6 though. It’s weird how that differs for everybody. I’m a 12 now and really cannot wait to be a 10 or single digits!
Omg insulin is expensive. Holy shit.
I read the title and I think you could hear me yell “Yippee” all the way from VA! That is so great Bizzy.
And saving 90 bucks is the bomb. I am going to have to see if we have a Walgreens here that does that – amazing that something so important and life saving is so dang expensive. Thanks for the heads up! š
Have a great weekend.
Congratulations! That’s awesome
CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!! That is so awesome! Enjoy your day- celebrate it up!
