Wow, all I can say about yesterday is that it was mindless eating! We had my brother and his family over for a bbq – and I think I started eating around 4:00 and never really stopped.
In fact, as my brother and I are standing over the chips and dip, he said to me “I was afraid of a day like this on vacation!” I kept reaching for another piece of cheese, another piece of salami – I couldn’t stop!
We made jumbo hot dogs from the deli, blue cheese stuffed burgers, macaroni and cheese and bacon wrapped potatoes. By about 9:00 p.m. I was completely regretting my choices for the day! But, its one day, and I am ready to move on.
After dinner we walked to the river – lots of boat traffic!
And my Mom brought me this from her trip to Savannah – she went to The Lady & Son restaurant – can’t wait to try this!
I need to do a healthier meal plan this week – the goal is to keep my calories from fat around 25%.
Since it’s a holiday, I’ll do my 101 Days of Recap Update tomorrow – if you are participating, don’t forget to email me your Week 5 progress at bdl319@gmail.com.
Have a great day and be safe! 😀
OMG…I know this is a week late, but I just had to go back and see what you ate for the 4th! The mac and cheese looks SO creamy! And bacon-wrapped potatoes?! Dude…I had chicken salad and tortilla chips. Life isn’t fair. 😉
Bacon wrapped potatoes? Oh my why didn’t I think of that 🙂
My family traveled from northern Michigan to Pittsburgh. I feel like all I have been doing all weekend is eating. 🙂 Your mac and cheese looks amazing.
Thanks for clarifying what was in the Butt Massage bottle. I’d hate to think what she would name a chicken breast marinade! Boob lube or something like that…
Happy 4th to you and your family!
LOL–we all have days like that, girl! I love the butt massage–very funny name for it! (it’s a rub for meat, including pork butt, right?)
Geez, Butt Massage? That label cracks me up! Do I dare ask…what exactly is in that bottle?
It’s a dry rub mixture for meat! 😀
Sounds like it was a great day – you all are such foodies that this was bound to happen…and hey, at least you ended it with a walk! Glad you had a good time with Charlie!
HI CHARLIE!!!!!
I grazed all afternoon at the picnic I was at too but since I had burned over 1000 calories on my morning run, I just let it go. As horrible as it sounds, sometimes my goal is just not to go to bed with a stomach ache. Oy!
Glad you’re enjoying your time with your family Biz!
