That will literally last me the rest of my life! 😀 I won a giveaway a while back from Chef E and it arrived in the mail yesterday.

Some that I have never even heard of!
Thanks to my spice sage! 😀
So breakfast yesterday was unique – I was packing my food yesterday and left my egg on the counter. I got to work and was like “where the hell is my egg?!” So I had to go to plan B! I made a spinach/cheese quesadilla, with a sliced apple and hashbrowns! Breakfast: 323 calores, 44 carbs, 13.1 protein. 10.6 fat and 9.3 fiber
For lunch I had black bean/beef tacos. Although I had this taco x2, I didn’t eat the second tortilla – they are low carb tortillas that are garlic/herb and didn’t really go well with the whole Mexican theme! Lunch: 426 calories, 44 carbs, 26 protein, 14.1 fat and 7.9 fiber
I snacked on an ounce of almonds 😀 161 calories, 6.1 carbs, 5.9 protein, 13.8 fat and 3.4 fiber
Tony made quick work of the salt! He sliced up some potatoes and tossed them in olive oil, fleur de sel sea salt, pepper and a splash of chardonnay. He tossed it in a bowl – and then made a comment that made me laugh out loud! He said the sound of the potatoes being tossed in the liquid sounded like two fat people making love! That man cracks me up! 😀
We added some chopped Italian parsley from our plant!
And he cooked them in a cast iron skillet – about 5 minutes over direct heat, then while the chicken cooked, on indirect heat.
We aren’t sure if it was the fancy salt, but these potatoes were outstanding! Slight crunch on the outside, tender on the inside!
My plate: I only ate two chicken legs though 😀 Dinner: 397 calories, 29 carbs, 32 protein, 13.8 fat and 3 fiber.
We enjoyed hanging outside in the gazebo – love this time of year with no mosquitoes yet!
- 1307 calories, 134 carbs, 76 protein, 65 fat and 24 fiber
- no exercise (I was a lazy bum yesterday!)
Two more days til the weekend! 😀
You are set up for life with sea salt!!! Your food looks so yummy!!! Makes me hungry 🙂
Wow, that’s a lot of salt!!! I saw the Hawaiian sea salt when we were there last year – I should pick some up next time we go (she says casually, like we go to Hawaii all the time – lol).
LOVE the new sight 🙂
I love how you made the potatoes.. clever 🙂
Tony gets full credit – they were his idea! 😀
What a fun collection of salts. They would be great to try on simple things like your potatoes, so you can really taste the difference between the varieties.
Dang girl – that’s a whole lotta salt!
That’s a heck of a lot of salt. I love the looks of those potatoes. We have too many potatoes here, and I need to get to cooking them up in some way. When did you change your layout? Am I going crazy?
oh those spices look so good! can’t wait for the weekend!
Those potatoes are killing me! They look awesome.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the new look! 🙂
Oh my goodness…potatoes on the grill are pretty much always DELICIOUS, but those look SO good!!!
Lucky that you got all those kinds of salt, I had no idea there were so many choices!
Tony’s comment almost made me spit out my coffee I laughed so hard!! Ha!!
pan grilled potatoes! so good! love it a lil burnt around the edges too- extra crispy!
and yea, that sea salt should last forever!! it’ll be passed down through generations lol
SALTY! 🙂 Lots of interesting flavors! COOL!
mmm BBQ!
oh man! I never realized there were so many different kinds of sea salt! Carlos would be so jealous if I told him of your loot!
Lemme know if you wanna send some my way, ha!
Give me your address! 😀 There is no way I’ll ever use that much salt!
Hmmm never thought to use my cast iron on the grill – I’m gonna try that!
Some day I need to stop being lazy and make some BBQ chicken! Boy do you have salt!
How are you ever going to eat all of that salt? LOL!
Now, that’s a lot of salt!!!!! Boy, those potatoes and the chicken look superb!
I love fleur de sel which is plain but those salts you have sound very interesting. I went to a salt “tasting” several years ago after doing a review of the book “Salt”.
Best,
Bonnie
The chicken and potatoes look AMAZING!!!!
The salt sounds interesting…
