That will literally last me the rest of my life! 😀 I won a giveaway a while back from Chef E and it arrived in the mail yesterday.

Some that I have never even heard of!
Thanks to my spice sage! 😀
So breakfast yesterday was unique – I was packing my food yesterday and left my egg on the counter. I got to work and was like “where the hell is my egg?!” So I had to go to plan B! I made a spinach/cheese quesadilla, with a sliced apple and hashbrowns! Breakfast: 323 calores, 44 carbs, 13.1 protein. 10.6 fat and 9.3 fiber
For lunch I had black bean/beef tacos. Although I had this taco x2, I didn’t eat the second tortilla – they are low carb tortillas that are garlic/herb and didn’t really go well with the whole Mexican theme! Lunch: 426 calories, 44 carbs, 26 protein, 14.1 fat and 7.9 fiber
I snacked on an ounce of almonds 😀 161 calories, 6.1 carbs, 5.9 protein, 13.8 fat and 3.4 fiber
Tony made quick work of the salt! He sliced up some potatoes and tossed them in olive oil, fleur de sel sea salt, pepper and a splash of chardonnay. He tossed it in a bowl – and then made a comment that made me laugh out loud! He said the sound of the potatoes being tossed in the liquid sounded like two fat people making love! That man cracks me up! 😀
We added some chopped Italian parsley from our plant!
And he cooked them in a cast iron skillet – about 5 minutes over direct heat, then while the chicken cooked, on indirect heat.
We aren’t sure if it was the fancy salt, but these potatoes were outstanding! Slight crunch on the outside, tender on the inside!
My plate: I only ate two chicken legs though 😀 Dinner: 397 calories, 29 carbs, 32 protein, 13.8 fat and 3 fiber.
We enjoyed hanging outside in the gazebo – love this time of year with no mosquitoes yet!
- 1307 calories, 134 carbs, 76 protein, 65 fat and 24 fiber
- no exercise (I was a lazy bum yesterday!)
Two more days til the weekend! 😀
That food looks freakin amazing!
I gave away so much salt, I still have lots left! I could cure my own body 🙂
I used to grow fresh herbs in the kitchen and I stopped when I started having such a big garden. It’s great to have them in the summer, but I forget to grow them for the winter. The parsley looks so nice.
Everything looks great!
holy moley that’s so much salt! you could take a bath in it!
OMG I love the new look!!!! It looks great! Have a great night chickie =) and hey where am I at? I am no longer on your blog roll…sad panda =/
LOVE the new look of your blog!! It looks AMAZING.
Also, great comment on my blog 🙂 Doesn’t sound like fun, but hey, sometimes we have to learn the hard way!!
Your chicken and potatoes look AMAZING!! And all that salt…it looks like you are going to have a lot of fun experimenting with it all!
I was dying when I read the comment Tony said about the potatoes in the olive oil hahaha! We have that black lava salt in our cabinet right now and I have no idea what to do with it. Let me know what you end up making with it. Its just been sitting there hanging out with the other spices.
Wow, holy smokes that is a lot of salt! I had no idea there were that many kinds either! Some of them sound so fancy!
hahaha I said the same thing as Tony the last time I was mixing up pasta salad. It was all squishy and wet sounding. Eww!
The potatoes look so so yummy. I would have fought you for the crispiest ones! 😉
