We could not have asked for better weather last night at Ravinia! Perfect temperature, slight breeze and no bugs!
We all caravaned from our office – during that time of day it took us about an hour to get there. It didn’t take long for us to set up the food and drinks!
The lawn area really fills up fast – its first come, first serve for the lawn seats, but we found a great spot. It’s amazing though how elabrate some of the tablescapes get! From candelabras, fresh flowers! I tried to get some pics to give you an idea:
One of the Doobie Brothers sons did the opening act – about 20 minutes. The Doobie Brothers sounded amazing – you know how some “old” bands sound old? Not this one! But I had to wonder how many times they have sung “Jesus is Just Alright” – probably a million times! (That’s one of my favorite songs btw!).
It was a late night though – by the time the caravan got back to the office and Hannah and I got home, it was 11:15, and I stayed up with Tony until midnight!
It was a great night and look forward to next year – this is our 2nd Annual GNO with the office, and each year I imagine will get more elabrate!
Breakfast this morning was, of course, my egg sammie on my homemade garlic bagel – love this one! With 2 ounces of rasperries and 2 ounces of blackberries on the side.
I am definitely working out at lunch today – haven’t worked out since Friday!
Morning break is over, come on back for Grilled Turkey, Pear, Spinach and Pepper Jack Cheese Sammie!
Looks like a great time, with some great food!! Mmm, I love the shrimp cocktail.
The pics look great B!
I’m definitely going to try to make those bagels this weekend!
Those are some good-lookin’ raspberries!
I love to go see classic rock bands perform. You really have to have a love for your music if you’re willing to play basically the same songs for decades and decades and still make it sound as good as the first time, every time. I recently saw Styx and LOVED it. Glad you had fun!
Thanks for visiting my blog and you are such an amazing cook. I have never made homemade bagels and your bagels look so good that if I was not dieting since May I would jump up and make myself a batch right now. Oh well, I can sure dream about bagels:)

Looks like so much fun! Yay cheese! Your upcoming sandwich, once again, sounds incredible!
What fabulous eats! Especially those pinwheels – I want to eat them all up! 🙂
Wow, the food all looked so pretty – great presentation! Glad you had such a fun time last night…the Doobie Brothers is one group I have yet to see and would love to!
Did they have taco dip there?
Why yes they did! 😀
Glad you had a great time!
Love the fruit and cheese platter!
What a lovely time! (I’d be there right next to you at the cheese plate ;)).
