No, I didn’t have bread, but I baked my breakfast in a new mini bread pan my Mom found for me at a garage sale.
- 1 cup egg beaters
- 1 cup egg white
- 3 ounces chopped lean deli ham
- 2 ounces chopped baby spinach
- 2 ounce Mexican cheese blend
Each loaf comes in at 76 calories, 1.9 fat, 11 protein, 2.5 carbs and .6 fiber. I wish I would have known that before this morning, because I only grabbed two for my breakfast:
But I brought a plain Chobani to go with it, but even then, my breakfast was only at 250 calories, so I added 45 calories and 3 grams of carbs to my Chobani – a tablespoon of Reese’s icecream topping!
Morning break is over – luckily my lunch is a bit more substantial – come on back for Southwestern Spaghetti Squash Bake!
Only 76 calories for each one! Nice~
Oh yes!! What a great dish! I hope the no-bread diet is going well. Obviously you are talented and creative enough in the kitchen that I’m sure it’s no problem. Be sure to highlight the good, the bad, and the ugly regarding your diet, because I’d like to know from a first person view how the diet really is!
What an awesome low carb “bread” – that rocks. I’m gonna star this to make one weekend. I bet Bobby would like it too š
I don’t know what sounds more appealing to me – the mini egg loaves or the Reese’s topping! Yummy breakfast š
How cool is that pan!? I love digging through kitchen stuff at yard sales, they always have unique vintage stuff and good quality too! None of this flimsy stuff, or where the handles pop off…
That looks great! Love the mini pans, too…everything always tastes better when it’s miniaturized!
What a great idea for breakfast. I haven’t seen anyone do anything like this, and it seems so simple and convenient!
Now that sounds yummy. And I’m happy I’m not the only one inventing new low cal dishes! I ate a total cherry Fage this morning with a clementine, just under 300. But those eggs do sound yummy!!! š
