Tony was the bbq chef tonight – the grill was already started by the time I got home from work – we unfortunately watched the last two innings of the Sox/Cubs game – Pods was robbed in the bottom of the ninth – it was so a ball!
Anyway, he brined pork chops and marinated cauliflower – the cauliflower was so good! I made a quick cheese sauce to go over the top.

With the leftover cauliflower and cheese sauce, I made a quick soup – just added 3 cups of chicken broth and pureed the soup. Hannah just had a bowl and she said “it tastes like the grill!” In a good way! 😀
We just got back from our softball game, we lost 4-3 and this team was full metal jacket, yelling to the ump that our pitches didn’t hit the 6 foot minimum – I just wanted to yell “its recreational! no one is going to the Olympics on this win!”
Off to snuggle with Tony – glad its Friday and its absolutely gorgeous out – cool temps – its nice to open the house up and turn off the central air. See you in the morning!
Looks great! I had cauliflower last night too, but it was just steamed, boring! Question for you…who are the naked people in the bed in the picture to the right?
OMG, that is too funny! That picture changes all the time – not sure! 😀
Thanks for your comment at TasteStopping! Of course, we’d love to have your (28) photos to publish! 🙂
The idea for grilling cauliflower is much appreciated. I love the vegetable, my husband is more on the fence. But! If he can grill it, he’ll eat it, no worries. (Just ask broccoli, asparagus, brussel sprouts, heads of romaine…)
Hope to hear and see you soon at TasteStopping.
Best,
