If you have ever worked in a restaurant, you know what the term “in the weeds” means. It means you can’t keep up with your tables, you are taking an order at one table, when you know that food is up in the kitchen for another table, and your busboy is outside smoking a cigarette right when you need him!
So although I work in a law firm, in the weeds describes my day, so you’ll have to come back tonight for all the great food: potato egg white bake with feta cheese and spinach for breakfast; spaghetti squash lasagna for lunch; and chicken oscar for dinner.
See you tonight!
‘in the weeds’ means ‘a little bit drunk’ in England!!
That potato egg bake looks sehr gut! Hope your day was alright 🙂
ohhh…i remember that expression, no fun!
hope everything is more relaxing by tonight!
I wonder how many hits Joseph Carl Velatini has on his blog:

He is same kid who see’s invisible smiley faces.
i hated being in the weeds.. it sucked..
i remember one night being one of two servers in the bar. there were 40 tables. for some reason the place filled up and i was standing at one table and while the customers were ordering their food- all of my other tables filled up….. *shuddering* oh i still have nightmares about that day!!!
“In the weeds.” No, I didn’t know that expression (and had even worked in a restaurant in which the waitstaff were perpetually in that state!). But that’s the story of my month! 😉 Hang in there, Biz!
Almost at that 100,000!
We’ll have to compare our breakfast bakes, mine turned out great!
Aw hope that your day turns out okay!
