Well, maybe not a traditional biscuit, but it turned out good! I ended up using up the rest of my pizza dough last night and rolled out the dough and used my biscuit cutter to make biscuits – they baked at 350 for about 12 minutes. Very yeasty! Tony was expecting a flakey biscuit, but once the sausage and gravy went on, it was really good!
My plate: 3 ounces biscuit (2 rolls), 1 ounce cooked Italian sausage and 1/4 cup of canned sausage gravy. With a healthy kiwi on the side (thanks Cassie!).
So with the kiwi breakfast comes in at 392 calories, 18 grams fat and 45 carbs.
We have no plans to speak of, which is nice once in a while! My SIL and her grandson may come over tomorrow, but that’s about it. Of course, there’s the laundry and cleaning – and um, maybe some cooking! I am off to watch the second episode of American Idol – that one girl Stevie was horrible! But she’s young so maybe she’ll get over it! See you later!
GREAT looking biscuits…
you’ll have some email love in a little bit!
The biscuits look great!
I’ve always believed that gravy isn’t complete without sausage. Oh well, probably an Iowa thing.
Iowa is that state across that really wide river from Illinois where men are farmers and pigs are scared.
I LOVE biscuits and gravy 🙂
Have a great day!
