Three strikes and you are out!
Okay, first strike: I accidentally bought this flour:
So I made Tony his white pizza and while it looked pretty, the dough was A HUGE FLOP and it had (strike two) too much ricotta for his taste. He said he loved the pizza, and would like it again except with regular sauce and my regular dough. He’s so sweet!
Strike number three: Because of the dough sucking a$$, Hannah’s pizza stuck to the cookie sheet. She likes a chewy crust and I have always cooked her pizza on a cookie sheet. So half of it stuck, and the other half was undercooked.
And then even though I cooked mine on to death, the dough never got crispy and it was gross.
I think this is the worst party pizza Friday ever!
Here is my Domino’s plate:
For the record, Domino’s is not our go to for pizza – but it was getting late after my pizza cooking fiasco, and I knew it would be cheap and quick. Oh well!
Off to relax with Tony! Hope everyone has a good Friday night. Come back tomorrow for a guest post by Tony!
Tehe that’s too cute. I heart cooking adventures.
funny you mention that flour. I have bought it before to make wheat bread and I find it has a bitter taste to it. Did you think that?
Sorry the pizzas didn’t turn out, but if it makes you feel better, they LOOK amazing to me!!!
aww! yay for getting carded at the store! I hope your hubbie doesn’t give up on white pizza, because I ordered it just one time and it was really good.
Pearl – I wish I knew. My all-purpose flour crust comes out like a cracker crust, This had no flavor or texture.
But this is a 5 minute pizza dough – maybe if I had let it rise it would have turned out okay?
What a bummer–the heart pizza was so cute, too! At least there was Domino’s to the rescue!
Happy V-Day!
i love the heart-shaped dough, but i have a quick question: why was that type of flour a flop for pizza dough?
Of course, you’ve been on my blogroll for awhile! ;]
Do I mind? NOT AT ALL!
It would be an honor to be added to your blogroll!!!!!
Awwwh soorry to hear that it didn’t turn out well, but the heart looks so cool!
Despite the dough flop, your heart is super cute!
sorry about the pizza disappointment! i love that you made it heart-shaped though. you should make some sort of cheesy pizza bread pudding with the leftovers!
Sorry about the dough! It looks like it would be yummy!
Sorry the pizza dough didn’t turn out well, but I think it still looks yummy!
awww sorry about the pizzas…maybe you should try the subs/sandwiches from Dominoes next time!! 🙂 And at least you can definitely use that flour for a lot of other tasty goodies!
Aww, too bad your pizzas didn’t work out.
sorry for the not so good pizza night! well….. you can always make it better next week. 😀 have a nice evening!
