Ed was so excited to be back on the trail he nearly dragged me to the ground getting out of the car! I would have thought more people would have been out since its so nice out, but it was just us.
But as we got further on this trail, parts of it were all snow, 2 inches of slush or all water!
Lunch out was fun! I maybe got a beer:
I got something they call the “lo-cal” plate. It’s basically a grilled chicken breast with a side of fresh cut veggies: green pepper, cucumbers, carrots and celery.
Tony went straight home after lunch while Hannah and I ran some errands. We went to Target, which is Hannah’s favorite store. She bought some new t-shirt sheets for her bed. Then we went to the local thrift store. Every piece of clothing was 50% off! But I didn’t find anything I liked this trip. Except this painting, which they wanted $6.50 for!
And I saw a new magazine I didn’t even know existed! I won $10 on a scratch off lottery card, so in my head it was free! 😀
And everywhere we drove all the parking lots look like this:
I did a deep clean of the living room earlier today, moving furniture, wiping baseboards. Now I just have the bathroom and backroom to do and we’re pretty much set.
Since its so nice out and all the snow is melted on our deck, I thought I would grill out! I got some nice pork chops for me and Tony. See you at dinner!
I saw that magazine the other day. I wasn’t sure if it was new or not. I assumed I’d just never noticed it before!
such an amazing trail!!!
how’s the magazine? don’t forget to tell us about it! 🙂
maggieapril – no, it’s a river. I tried to walk there but it was still WAY too slushy. Maybe tomorrow though!
Sounds like a great day. Enjoy your magazine!
looks like a nice day out! good on ya for gettin out before the dirtt snow turns into ugly slush! i like the stop sign reflection in the snowdirtpile picture
Go Ed!! Looks like a refreshing walk – is that a lake in the background?
I love that blackened chicken! And i have soooo missed the ED pics 😀 I heart him
We still have too much snow on our deck. I miss my grill so much.
Haha the dirty snow piles are a staple of the midwest these days I think!
Any lunch starting off with a beer sounds pretty fabulous to me 🙂 Enjoy your evening!!
aww, i love that photo of ed leading you along the trail!
So much snow!
I love Target too. I think I could spend hours just wandering around. Maybe I’ll go today 🙂 I haven’t been in a while.
Oh my gosh, super tasty! And grilling? NICE!!!
Ewww…. I didn’t even know what that pile was until I read it. I like to see snow, but definitely don’t like living in a snowy area. Lunch looks delicious!
