So even though I loved last Friday nights pizza combo I decided to go back to the classic – pepperoni, sausage, and red and green peppers. It did not disappoint!
- 4 ounce no rise pizza dough
- 1 ounce Jimmy dean sausage (raw – it cookes in the oven)
- 2 ounces red and green pepper
- 1/2 oz chopped pepperoni
- 2 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
- Tabasco as a lovely garnish!
So considering my breakfast and lunch wasn’t that caloric, even with my pie (oh and the ounce of cheetos I didn’t snap a picture of!) my totals for the day:
- 1457 calories
- 55 fat
- 180 carbs
So I had to pick up some medicine for Tony and my Walgreen’s has a last chance section where everything is on major sale. Usually its crap, but yesterday I hit the jackpot – each of these bars were only .90 cents!! They are usually at least $1.99 a piece everywhere else I have seen them! I like them because sometimes Hannah doesn’t want to eat breakfast right off the bat – this way she can just take something with her.
I actually have a lot on my plate today. A bunch of small errands and then lots of cooking. I am going to be making homemade bread – I’ll post the recipe if it turns out later. Its an interesting technique – cooked at a high temp with water in a pan below to steam/cook the bread.
And while there are two days left to enter your BSI recipe in my weekly contest where the winner gets a $20 Whole Foods Gift Card, I am entering another recipe contest where the winner gets a $250 Sam’s Club Card! Check it Cathy’s site – she is so funny, and I imagine if we were neighbors we would be the bestest of friends! I plan on putting my recipe together today and will also post it if it turns out! Her contest ends on midnight, Monday, January 26.
I’m off. . . check in with you later today!
