Okay, so while Hannah and I can eat pizza EVERY Friday, Tony has other ideas! I knew that I had snails in the fridge that needed to be cooked – they are .69 cents a piece in the shell, with the herbed butter!
At a restaurant I once worked at, they served their escargot with puff pastry – so that’s what I made for Tony!
So my pizza tonight was AMAZING!!!! First I grilled shrimp at high heat with garlic:
I cooked up a filet mignon for Tony, with the grilled shrimp and some sauteed mushrooms:
Hannah put her pizza together: spinach, minced garlic (with garlic in her dough!) red pepper and cheese:
My personal pizza:
- 5 ounces pizza dough
- 2 ounces shredded mozzarella
- 1/4 cup pizza sauce
- diced fresh red pepper
- 2 ounces cooked garlic shrimp
- 1/2 ounce diced prosciutto
- 1/4 cup arugula
- crushed red pepper
- italian seasoning
My whole pizza came in at:
- 698 calories
- 17 fat
- 78 carbs
The balance of the garlic shrimp, the crunchy red pepper, the saltiness of the prosciutto and the pepper in the arugula – it was an amazing combination!!
Hope everyone had a good Friday night! See you tomorrow!
Wow that looks fantastic! Love love love garlic shrimp.
I have to remember to check out your blog after I have already eaten and feel completely stuffed because EVERYTHING you make looks so delish that I am instantly starving and salivating!
We do Pizza night every Friday as well. These are great blogs! Thank you for the ideas for toppings on those Friday Pizza’s.
Stay warm!
yeah! pizza friday. and pizza for breakfast!
How yummy and I love escargot!
Everything looks delicious! I make whole wheat pizza dough and keep balls of it in the freezer for when the mood strikes.
Wow–so amazing. That filet with the shrimp is particularly mouth-watering!!
Growing up, we always had “Make your own” pizza nights where my mom would buy the little crusts and we’d just have a buffet line of toppings and cheese. You’ve inspired me again!!
I have a coupon for some yeast, so I’m going to add it to our menu and see if mine can come out as awesome as yours always look! 🙂
jeez your kitch is full time!! Do u make your own dough or buy it? That combo sounds amazing!
You cook for Tony, but can you cook for me too?
