is preventing me from visiting Tony today. We are supposed to have snow all day long. But I talked to him and he is doing well. He is unhooked from almost everything and they even had him walking around this morning! And while I wish I could be with him, it is nice to be home and I hope to have heathier food! It’s so easy to fall back on fast food and the hospital food was marginal at best (except for the soup yesterday!)
I always wonder why hospital food isn’t any good! I mean, these are doctors and nurses who need be nourished! And the cafeteria at Tony’s hospital is only open from 11:00 to 4:00. Hot food is available only between 11:00 and 1:00 – then you are just stuck with pre-packaged sandwiches.
This morning I had half an onion bagel, with egg whites and herbed goat cheese – yum! And fresh coffee!
I am off to run a couple errands before the weather gets too bad. I couldn’t really give Hannah cash to buy her own presents! See you later!
i’m glad tony’s donig well and starting to get up on his feet!
meal looks great!
I’ve been quite fortunate in my life so far that I haven’t had to eat hospital food, ever. But you’re right, one would assume that given the establishment the food would be somewhat decent!
I hope you were able to run those errands ok before the weather got too crazy 😀
I am glad that Tony is doing a little better. I hope you can visit him tomorrow.
That bagel looks phenomenal!
Stay safe in the brutal weather!!
Bad weather prevented me from making it to the gym, but I can always get a good workout in at home. Luckily today it is sunny and the roads are clearing up. I’m excited to hit the gym tonight. Yummy bagel and goat cheese…just another fun way to get my protein. Thanks for sharing.
Glad to hear that Tony’s surgery went well, and that he’s getting up and around. 🙂
Hospital food? It really depends on the hospital. I’ve had good and bad food at them. What surprised me, though, when I was in the hospital with my pregnancies, was what they served for diabetic patients…seemed like a bit too much starch for me.
I’m so glad the surgery went well, didn’t know it was happening. As for hospital food, it’ll kill you for sure! Amazing, isn’t it? BTW, the bagel looks super-yummo.
Really? I think hospital food is pretty good. I work occasionally in the nutrition and food services in the hospital, preparing patient meals, and carrot cake is might tasty!! 🙂
Glad to hear things are going well for Tony. Happy Holidays Biz!
Ew – hospital food is horrible! I’ve been bringing my own food this past week because I can’t even stomach the thought of some of their food! So glad to hear Tony’s on the road to recovery!!
Glad to hear he is doing well! Yea…hospital food is so unappealing =(
:D!
yay good news!! I know, hospital food is horrible, not to mention- you’re at a hospital- so the dreary atmosphere is not a pleasant ambience at all! I always feel so sad there…hang in there with the weather :D1
