Having that Potbelly sandwich yesterday and going through the fridge this morning, I realized I had some corned beef I needed to use up. My sandwich was 1 oz. of french bread, 1.5 ounce corned beef, .5 ounce muenster cheese and pickled jalapenos! With orange slices and I believe the last of the Taco soup!
So Tony and I are going to finalize the Thanksgiving menu tonight, see what staples we have, etc. Very excited about brining the turkey this year! We’ve brined pork chops before and they were really good! Lunch break is almost over, see you at dinner! On tap is country fried steak with smashed potatoes!
Hi! thanks for swinging by and checking my blog out. I am glad you did. My mom is diabetic and I want to review your recommendations and give her some suggestions on how to improve her food life.
Regarding smoother scotches, your best bet is to buy some Single Malt. I personally don’t care for much American whisky. Single Malt is pricey but if you have it occasionally it is worth the investment (not an every day drink). Here are some of the best ones:
Oban (my favorite), Caol Ila, Highland Park, Glenmorangie, Springbank (very drinkable), Talisker, and Laphroig (very peaty, try it in a bar first). These go for about $35 a bottle.
Good luck and happy tday!

Muenster cheese is so underrated! Good luck with the menu finalizing!
My mom always brines her turkeys and they come out SO well!
Ooh yum! I had forgotten about corned beef. I like it with lots and lots of sauerkraut.
Dinner sounds fun 🙂
