I tried to make a deep dish pizza tonight – and it turned out pretty good. The only thing I would have done differently is not oil the sides of the pan, because when I tried to make the dough stick on the side, it kept sliding down. I cooked it on my lowest oven rack. This one is ground beef, Italian sausage and mushroom.
My daughter and I split a pizza. Her half: onions (GROSS!), red pepper, pepperoni. My half: red peppers, spinach, 1 ounce ground beef, 1/2 ounce pepperoni and diced pickled jalapeno peppers.
