and I’ve lost my exercise mojo. I walked for 30 minutes before my blood sugar stopped me in my tracks. When I got back to the office it was 60 and dropping fast. Even so, I felt like I was just going through the motions – no purpose, no effort.
Did you steal my mojo?! 😀 I need to find it – quick 😀
Breakfast was another roti breakfast sammie, quickly becoming a favorite. With strawberries on the side.
When I made the momos for round 2 of the Foodbuzz Challenge (shameless plug – go here to vote for me if you haven’t already!) Hannah and I both thought that the steamed ones would be better in a soup.
I ended up using 2 cups chicken broth, 1/3 cup light coconut milk, a handful of spinach (added after the soup was heated up) and sliced jalapenos to spice up the broth. I added three of the momos to my soup – this was so good!
But around 4:00 I got hungry, so I had a serving of pretzels in an espresso cup:
So my sister chose pork as this weeks BSI. I make chicken parmesan a lot, so I decided to make a Pork Milanese – the best part is that there is no real recipe here – one plate is flour seasoned with salt and pepper, the second bowl is equal parts milk and egg beaters, and the last plate is equal parts of panko bread crumbs and parmesan cheese.
Hannah went out for dinner with friends so it was just me and Tony – two chops:
I pan fried the chops in 1 tablespoon butter, 1 teaspoon vegetable oil and Pam. These chops were pretty thick, so it took about 20 minutes total. On the side I had mashed potatoes and stuffing. The country gravy was easy – 1 1/3 cups milk, 3 tablespoons flour, salt, pepper and 1/2 teaspoon of better than bouillon. Just mix together and in about 8 minutes it gets nice and thick.

- 28% of calories from fat
- 5,100 mg of sodium – yikes! 🙁
- 30 minute lame walk
Here is hoping I get my exercise mojo back – pep talks appreciated! 😀
Your dinner looks good! I love breaded pork chops. 😀 I usually dip them in duck sauce.
Hope your get your exercise mojo back. When I lose mine (often), I try to switch things up. Walking is my favorite, so a new path is always fun. I created an obstacle course around the house that I can change things around all the time, too. Downloading new songs to listen to inspires me to get my booty in gear, also. 🙂
I caught up with your mojo and it promised to be back tomorrow morning. Count on it!
Mojo is one of the easiest things to lose, hope you find your soon’!!!
Mojo, no, but I want to steal a momo!!!! 🙂
Yum, I love chicken parm, so I’m sure I’d love this dish!
Yummy, that gravy looks great. I’m heading over to vote for you!
Sometimes I lose my exercise mojo but once I start getting back in to it, it seems to come with avengence! Don’t worry girlie! It will come back!
Amazing how quick we can lose our Mojo and how long it takes to find it’s way home.
Even though I don’t eat pork the chops look amazing – yum.
Your dinner looks like a Sunday dinner! How deluxe and easy!
My pork shoulder in the crock pot turned out great last night, I’m eating leftovers at work for lunch and I am a happy girl!
Mojo? No mojo over here, sorry.
Wow, those pork chops look yuuuuuuum-y!
If I thought your mojo would help me I would totally steal it!!
Love the pork! I swapped out my chicken for pork last night and it was awesome, now I just have to figure out how to list it this week.
You’ll find your mojo-no worries! Nope, no baby yet…..
I have lost my exercise mojo today as well. Sometimes it is easier to just go out and not think about it. I am sitting here right now debating all the things I could do instead. Wish me luck that I make it to the gym.
That soup looks excellent. I love all the combinations of flavors!
I hate it when I lose my exercise mojo! Actually, I’ve lost my mojo for darn near everything nowadays, it seems. I need a good kick in the shorts.
Roti makes my heart sing.
What about getting someone that you can exercise “with” on your lunch hour, like I do my runs “with” my friend in California? That way you know someone is suffering – er, I mean EXERCISING – along with you, and you can check in after. Matt and I take pictures of our Garmins and send them to each other so be both know we aren’t slacking. It helps!
Great idea Shelley!
Yum! That looks delish! You can totally get that mojo back! You are a rockstar!
I need my exercise mojo back too. We can do it! I am going to go on a run tonight. If you want, we can e-mail each other motivation!
You’ll find your exercise mojo, Biz! Maybe change it up and do something different. I’ve been really into Exercise TV, so pick something fun from there like one of the dance fitness ones. That way you don’t feel like you’re exercising. Remember Cardioke??!! *singing* dontcha wish your girlfriend was hot like me!!!!
And you’ll get a good laugh in, too!
I’ll share my exercise mojo if you’ll get me on track with food (and wine!). Deal?
Deal! 😀
Thanks for the gravy recipe, I have never been good at gravy and usually use the little packets but this looks so easy even I can do it!
Sorry you lost your mojo, hope you find it soon! It is more difficult when you have been ill and missed a few days. I usually ease my way back into to and I find that I quickly get my groove back. I know a lot of people enjoy listening to some favorite tunes while they exercise, that might help. I walk outside and I prefer to listen to the sounds of nature while I walk.
