Just as I pulled in the drive, the rains started.  I like to do my blackened dishes on the outdoor grills (either gas or the Weber) – I’ve tried in my own kitchen and nearly smoked and choked myself out of the kitchen and routinely set off the fire alarm in Hannah’s room!

We picked up two ribeyes at a butcher shop over the weekend – knowing the quality was going to be good, I just used cracked pepper and salt – its all it needed!

Upon hearing steak was on the menu, Hannah went ahead and made this:

I have a cast iron grill pan - it gets pretty hot - for this size steak, I cooked on 3 minutes per side for rare

I didn’t think I had hardly any veggies at home until I started rooting around my fridge – I never went to the grocery store this weekend so I haven’t done my weekly clean of the fridge yet – I had a lot to work with!

  • red cabbage
  • romaine
  • iceburg lettuce
  • carrots
  • cucumber
  • 1 ounce goat cheese

I have loved reading all your comments about your motivation to exercise – I got in my 30 minute walk with Ed after the rain stopped too!
