The bed was big enough and I could lay next to him – his leg is really elevated, so it made it interesting for me to get out of bed because I am so short but it was so nice to snuggle! One of our family rituals is to watch Wheel of Fortune. He was dozing in and out and I thought “aha! this my chance to answer all the puzzles!”
Um, not so much. He was sleeping and I needed to figure out one word to guess the puzzle, he wakes up, takes one look at the puzzle and guesses it correctly! Even in his weakened condition he still kicked my butt!
Since it is lent, I picked up Subway for dinner for us – I got Tony the tuna sub. He still doesn’t have much of an appetite, but did manage to eat about 1/3 of it. Hannah and I were surprised by how many veggies were available – baby spinach?! We’ve never seen that at our local Subway!
So I got the turkey with lots of veggies – baby spinach, banana peppers, pickled jalapenos, lettuce, cucumbers, carrots = yum!
Can I just say that I am less than thrilled about our upcoming weather?? Beginning Saturday night into Sunday morning – we are expected to get 3 – 6 inches of snow. Nooo!!!! I’ve already brought out our hose, I’ve put away the snow blower and shovels! I know it won’t last long because it is supposed to be in the 60’s by the beginning of next week, but still!
Alright – another long day and I am off to relax a bit with Hannah. Sleep tight Tony, I’ll see you in the morning – I love you!
Too bad he is not still self-medicating…you could just hit the morphine button any time he started to answer a WOF puzzle. 😉
Ha! That would have been good!!
Glad you got to spend some nice time with Tony. Hope he’s feeling better and better.
Aww snuggling is so nice! He must be pretty good at that game 😉
how fun 😉 i love snuggling with my husband too – that’s what we do every night on the couch before going to bed.
that’s funny that he still beat you on wheel of fortune! sounds like something my hubby would do 🙂
Hope Tony gets to feeling better real soon, as for the weather it will only last a day or two? won’t it ??? LOL
AWWW…how sweet. So glad you got some snuggle time in.
you’re so lovely snuggling with Tony, I’m sure he feels better this way!
more snow???? oh…that’s crazy!
awww snuggling with tony = precious 🙂
hahahaha i would’ve covered his mouth and not let him answer those puzzles!
Yay for Tony time!!
I don’t think the snow will stick around long… the temp is supposed to stay warmer than freezing!
That’s so sweet
Awh, that is awesome!!!!!! Glad you had some time with Tony! <3
