There is no secret to being successful on Weight Watchers.  You just have to track your food.  That’s it.  I don’t think it matters if you are a gym rat, get up at 4:30 to workout before work  – that is icing on the cake, but it really just comes down to the food.  Turns out if you don’t eat half a bag of Doritos, a box of wine or stop at CVS to pick up gummy bears, you can have a successful week!

Our WW meeting finally got printable stickers!  They have had the machine I think for six months before it was up and running.

I will be honest – after having gains the last three weeks, not going to lie, I almost threw in the towel to start over on June 1 – I could have gained 3.8 this last week if I hadn’t gotten my act together.

So I will continue to be a blue dot goal getting this next week, so I can get back down to 20 pounds lost – where I was two months ago – but on the bright side, I am still down 17 pounds so far, and only 21 pounds away from the top of my weight loss goal of 140.  If I play my cards right, I could get there by the end of summer!

I realized I never took a picture of my breakfast since I posted my WI.  It was an egg white sammie wrap on lavash with fruit for 5 points.

The Weight Watcher meeting was a good one.  VALUING yourself.  I view that as treating yourself as you would others, something that I am working really hard at doing.  Turning negative thoughts into positive ones.  Instead of dwelling on where I could be today if I had stayed on track these last couple months, I am giving myself a high five for not giving up even if there is a bump (or bag of Doritos) in the road.

Lunch was I guess what you could call a beef fried rice.  One cup rice (6) with veggies, topped with 2 ounces of steak (2) and fresh crunchy bean sprouts.  I used House of Tsang Ginger Sriracha stirfry sauce – its only 1 point for 2 tablespoons, but really one tablespoon is enough – its spicy!

I was so busy yesterday afternoon at work, I had to reheat that dish three times before I evenutually just threw it out – I ate about 3/4 of the plate.  I was night secretary tonight and didn’t get home until 7:45.  Hannah and Jacob are back on their keto diet, so all last night my kitchen smelled like bacon, sausage and chocolate cake.  Yep, there is even a keto chocolate cake recipe.  It looked amazing – kind of like a giant brownie.

I stopped at the farmers market on the way back from WW and picked up some tofu.  Phoenix Bean makes the best tofu – if you find them at any Chicagoland farmers market, I hightly recommend you get some.  I bought a different flavor – spicy Asian chili – and the tofu was cut into strips.  I made another kind of stirfry – basically to use up the veggies I had in my fridge:  zucchini, carrots, and broccoli.  I also made 10 mini cilantro wontons for 3 points.  Dinner came together in literally 10 minutes and I was able to snap a picture before it got too dark.  Dinner was 10 points.

My friend Kris (hey!) sent me a link to a blog post that could not have been more appropriate to how I am feeling.

I know I am not alone in the negative self thinking, but I love how this was worded: even batting .500 puts you in the hall of fame!

One of the tools we did at the end of the meeting yesterday was to give just one word that positively describes you.  Some of the words chosen:  dedicated, helpful, funny, honest.  Do me a favor – can you just leave a comment and tell me one think you are proud of about yourself?  Let’s start the weekend off with some self-love to set the right tone for the weekend.

Shelley, it’s been a while since I graced you with a snap chat filter –I thought this one wouldn’t freak you out too much:
