Premier Protein my friends is your new BFF for Weight Loss. I get a lot of requests each week to partner with certain products, links to articles, advertising β most of which I just immediately delete after receiving them because I am not going to promote anything that I donβt already use, or think that other people will find value with.
I am happy to say that I am a Premier Protein Ambassador! I tried to jump on the protein bar/protein shake bandwagon several times. Only one teeny tiny problem. Turns out most of those have some sort of ingredient in them that makes me need to find a bathroom within five minutes after eating/drinking such products. Not going to name and any names (ahem, Pure Protein, EAS, Atkins, β just to name a few).
So I tried Premier Protein after Instagram Weight Watcher peeps were buying these 2 smart point shakes and adding them to a two shot espresso from Starbucks. A great, quick on the go mini breakfast as I like to call it β for only 160 calories and a whopping 30 grams of protein. I recently bought an espresso machine at Goodwill, so now can make my drink to go at home, saving me $2.17 a day.
I recently made vanilla coffee protein pancakes using the powdered protein mix:
But yesterday? Holy balls, I made the best fluffy protein pancakes out there.
I am calling these Elvis Banana Pancakes because they have banana, peanut butter AND bacon. And each fluffy pancake is only 3 smart points. I use the Weight Watchers recipe builder to figure out the points using my exact ingredients, so please don’t go by the nutrition label that is auto generated on generic ingredients. Each pancakes is 78 calories, 12 carbs, 5 sugar, 1 fat and 5 protein.

For my breakfast yesterday I took the top pancake (4 points) used my sugar free syrup (1), ate all the banana and blackberries, the tablespoon of real bacon bits (1) and the two slices of peppered bacon for a very filling and protein packed 6 point breakfast.
I have also tried their protein bars:
They are 8 smart points. Iβve eaten half for breakfast on the train before work if I am extra hungry, and saved the second half for the train ride home so I donβt feel like I have to eat the second I walk in the door.
I also like to chop up half a bar and top it on my parfaits for a bit of texture. I think the chocolate one tastes just like a snickers bar.
I now have found these products at Walgreenβs, CVS, Walmart and Samβs Club. Samβs Club by me (Chicago area) is the cheapest β a 12 pack for only $16.68.
Have you tried Premier Protein yet? If other protein products bothered you in the past, Iβd recommend trying these. I am down 15 pounds this year, and I think in part because Iβve been able to drink a 2 point shake on my train ride home and have time to make a sensible dinner instead of coming home starving and driving through the Burger King drive through.
Enjoy your Sunday!
Note: This is a sponsored recipe post. However, I will only endorse products I use and recommend.
So I actually just made banana protein pancake a today before reading this. I however have more protein in mine without the slight variation.
1c Kodiak Protein pancake mix
2 bananas
2 eggs
A dash of cinnamon
a dash of nutmeg
I Primere Bananas and Cream Shake
I had Gastric Bypass rxyn and I too cannot tolerate any other protein shake or powder, found that out after the surgery I lost 30lbs in 2 weeks because I couldnβt keep anything down I had tried.
I use the CAfeβ Latte and Chocolate in my coffee.
Your pancake recipe sounds so good! Do you put it in blender?
Hi – nope, I just mix with a whisk. π
I too love the premier protein caramel. They are great mixed in with my ice coffee. Thanks so for blogging about them. I haven’t seen a post yet with a photo of the espresso machine up and running. Have you got the needed parts for it? Can’t wait for some feedback. My Keurig is starting to make an odd noise as it is brewing and not filling properly. I may need to find a replacement soon.
I guess I never posted a picture of it yet! I got the missing part – I’ll make a note to do a post soon π
I like Premier Protein too.
I have not been careful about food choices for a long, long time, so I have about 60 lbs to try to lose slowly.
I enjoyed your writing and will try pancakes sometime.
Thank You!
Trudy
I wish Sams club sold the caramel premier in the 12 packs. I am going to have to try the pancakes, they look so good
I haven’t seen the 12 pack of caramel either – but my Sam’s Club sells the bananas and cream π
I love Premier Protein. Doing tree work outside in the hot sun, it’s one of the few things I can tolerate. I keep several in the cooler to fuel me through the day. When it’s just too hot to make food appealing, these are perfect.
Shelley, another blogger I read (According to Egg Face) makes the bars into cookies!
What?! I’ll have to check that out – cookies sound amazing π
