Elaine
I remember canning tomatoes for the first time in an apartment and my dad had to bring me his turkey fryer pot because I didn’t have one that was big enough!
Congrats Elaine! Shoot me your mailing address and I’ll forward it to the company to get it shipped directly to you – mybizzykitchen@gmail.com.
This was a whirlwind weekend! We spent 18 hours in the car this weekend to spend 10 hours with family and it was so worth it. And I only did 4 hours of the driving, so I totally didn’t mind sitting in the back watching Netflix as the miles went by!
Hannah and I didn’t get home until 9:30 last night, and I was just too tired to download my pictures. So I am home one day and I am off to Denver tomorrow! Remember the first beef event I did in October of 2013 and then again in June of 2014? Well, I am heading to another beef event, but what’s awesome about this one is that only 5 food bloggers were invited and I am one of them. Looking forward to learning more about beef, the different cuts, how to cook them, etc. And I get to see my good friend Karli again and Vanessa who I met last June.
I’ll recap my weekend on tomorrow’s post but I’ll leave you with these gorgeous views of Lake Huron.
Oh, and I have a HUGE shout out for Jacob. He ended up having to work and couldn’t come, but boy was he busy! He cleaned up Tony’s work bench – I don’t think Tony had touched it in the last three years and it was just a huge mish mash of stuff. It’s been on my list of things to do, and well, I just haven’t gotten around to doing it. Before cleaning it you couldn’t even see the work bench!
And a tree had been completely covering our shed and every time I looked over at it, I’d say “one of these days I need to trim those branches!” Well, I don’t have to anymore – he trimmed the tree and he also trimmed all the weeds in the front of the house – it was such a surprise and big help to me – thank you Jacob!
Make it a great day!!
Jacob is a keeper!
Oh my: 9 hours of driving to get somewhere and then 9 hours back? Would you believe that if I drive 10 hours I am at the Garda Lake in Italy? Paris is a 6 hour drive away from where I live.
Have fun at your Denver trip, cool that you were invited.
Get in touch!
Have a great time Vat!!! Bring on the beef!!! xo
Safe travels & have fun!
Send Jacob over here – we have a messy workbench at our place! 😀
Jacob is a real winner! Love that picture of Lake Huron; I’ve never been! Safe travels to Denver – we were supposed to be in Colorado Springs this week but had to do the two smaller vacations instead. Next year!
Wow, Jacob is THE MAN!!! How wonderful to have him take on these projects!!
Have fun in Denver – go BEEF!
I know, I’m probably getting SUPER annoying with these comments spamming your inbox, but I’m finally getting around to catching up! I think its so cute that you and Jacob have such a good relationship – it reminds me of my mom and Frankie (my boyfriend) – she regularly calls him “my future son-in-law” … much to my embarrassment!
Busy lady! How you have so much fun on your upcoming trip!! I love how the beef council keeps coming back to you- you’re definitely a beef expert! Josh loves beef and I’m just not a red meat person. Which of your recipes would you recommend I make for him? <3 <3 <3
