Even with all my exercise this week, I still had a gain on the scale.
I am going to chalk it up to the Japanese food I had yesterday for lunch. (and maybe I had a bit too much fried food this week?! :D) Tony had a friend in town and we met him here. It’s literally five minutes from my office.
Um, I did not get Japanese noodles with ketchup – ew!
I ordered something different – it was a cold soba noodle dish – it had a vinegar dipping sauce that had stuff you could add to it – like radish and wasabi.
I ate about half of the noodles, and all of the tempura – so light and crunchy!
Tony and his friend did full metal jacket sushi – the piece on the far left is Tony’s favorite – fatty tuna!
It was nice getting together with Tony and his friend for lunch! And it made my afternoon go by really fast – it’s so sad that its almost dark by the time I get home from work already:
You guys will be JEALOUS! Check out the price for chicken breasts this week – its scary!!
I have planned for me and my SIL – blackened chicken wraps, crock pot chicken salsa, beef enchiladas and shrimp korma, to name a few things.
And I think I’ll put the deep fryer back in the basement this week!
Stop by tomorrow. . . BSI is back! I’ll host this week with . . . pumpkin! Full details in tomorrows post – what do you have going on today? Make it a great day!
We ordered Chinese last night and I can still feel the bloat–I’ll blame the Japanese food, too!
Sorry to say that we were weight loss (gain) twins this week. My WI day is Wed, though and I’m striving to go the other direction this week–we can be twins next week, too!. I totally agree about the early sunsets. And it’s only going to get worse when we turn those clocks back . . .
What the what???? $0.99/lb for chicken = craziness!
Just googled spaghetti with ketchup and apparently it’s also called Spaghetti Napolitan and very popular in Japan. I’m just curious enough to give it a try!
Asian food always had too much sodium for me, I LOVE it though!!! I try to make my own as much as possible, Just not the same though.
BSI, Yea!
Your lunch yesterday looks awesome! Wow! And I’m a little jealous of that chicken price! That’s awesome!
Mmmmm, I love “hard core” sushi – so delicious. Salmon is my favorite.
I’m making a pumpkin recipe today, so this is exciting. I kind of hadn’t noticed that BSI wasn’t around, but I did always like participating!
Grr! I hate when you are expecting a loss and don’t get it. 0.8 is nothin’ though š And that fried chicken you made would be worth that gain any day!!! I love your insulin-worthy comments, they always make me smile š
P.S. I have that Shirmp Korma on my menu soon because of Marisa, too!
Sorry about the gain. Onwards and downwards next week! What a great price on chicken. Pumpkin bsi??? I must start thinking of ideas
All I can say about sushi is—Ewww! And I’m the only one in the family who refuses to eat it. Everyone else LOVES it! Hilarious about the scary chicken prices! Can’t wait to see the upcoming recipes!
Asian food always causes me to retain water. Thats probably it. I notice that you have to buy that chicken in 10lb bags. Is there sodium solution added?
Nope! You just have to trim off the fat, so its a little time consuming, but totally worth it. š
Spaghetti and ketchup. Sounds like a dorm room meal, doesn’t it?
Have a great weekend! We have pumpkins to carve and there will be snow to shovel. Ugh.
The spaghetti with ketchup made me laugh. Glad Mara liked it, now intrigues me. heehee
Have a good one Bizzy!
Adam and I got engaged at Daruma in one of the tea rooms!!! The spaghetti with ketchup is oddly delicious. I totally recognize that big roll Tony got too… its a crazy roll!
Let’s meet up next week after i get back from Foodbuzz, k?? š
Sounds great Mara! š
